Treviso ease away for a sweep, book dates with Tofas Bursa and BAXI Manresa

PIRAEUS (Greece) - Nutribullet Treviso were without their star center Henry Sims, but it did not matter as five men got into double digits to lead the Italians to a clean sweep against Lavrio Megabolt. The second game finished 90-78, sending Treviso to Group J in the Round of 16.

Turning point: Lavrio only led for 85 seconds in this one, but after Treviso took a 13-12 lead, they did not look back the rest of the way. The win was never in doubt after they opened up an eight point lead in the first quarter, and ballooned it to +16 late in the game.

Game hero: Matteo Imbro scored a total of 17 points in all of his previous BCL games combined, but then exploded for a game-high 19 to send Treviso to the next round. The 27-year-old knocked down five three-pointers, had 9 rebounds and 5 assists, doing a bit of everything for coach Massimiliano Menetti.

DeWayne Russell (18pts), Tomas Dimsa (18), Nicola Akele (13) and Aaron Jones (12 with 11 rebounds) were also in double figures.

Stats don't lie: Sometimes it's just about sending the ball through the rim. Lavrio failed to do that consistently, hitting just 30 of their 69 field goal attempts and 8-of-13 free throws. Treviso were 32-of-64 and 16-of-20 in those two categories.

Bottom line: Lavrio's debut BCL season ends in the Play-In phase, while Treviso extend their maiden campaign to a tough Round of 16 group. They will now face BAXI Manresa, Tofas Bursa and the winner of Hereda San Pablo Burgos v Darussafaka matchup.
