Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals Draw explained

MIES (Switzerland) - Following the conclusion of the Round of 16 of the Basketball Champions League this Wednesday, 8 clubs (the first 2 clubs in each group) have qualified for the Quarter-Finals. The draw of this phase of the competition will be conducted on Friday March  25, at 10:15 CET, at the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain.

This event will be livestreamed on championsleague.basketball and draw the final part of season 6 of the Basketball Champions League.

For the purposes of the Draw, the 8 qualified clubs have been ranked according to their final position within their respective Round of 16 group and their place in the Draw will be based on this ranking. The teams having finished 1st of their Round of 16 group are placed in Pot 1, and the teams having finished 2nd of their Round of 16 group are placed in Pot 2.



The Quarter-Finals will be played in a best-of-3 series and start on April 5. The seeded teams will play their first (and potential third) game at home, the unseeded teams will play their second game at home. The four winning clubs will qualify for the Final 4. 

Draw restrictions
Clubs cannot be drawn against clubs from the same Round of 16 group. There is no country protection.

An additional draw will determine the Final 4 bracket, where the winners of Games 1, 2, 3 and 4 will be drawn against each other, with no draw restrictions for this phase. 

The complete Quarter-Finals game schedule will be communicated after the Draw.

The Final 4 will take place on May 6-8, 2022 in Bilbao, Spain. Media accreditations will be open on Monday, March 28, 2022. Ticket sales will be announced shortly.
