22 things to look out for in Tuesday's games

MIES (Switzerland) - The final week of action in the Round of 16 gets underway on Tuesday with the last games in Group K raising the curtain and the last games in Group I wrapping up the day's action.

To see what each team needs to do in order to qualify for the Quarter-Finals, check out the detailed analysis.

Here are 22 things you need to know ahead of Tuesday's four games:

Pinar Karsiyaka (1-4) vs. Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (3-2)

Group K - 18:30 CET - Laktasi, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Errick McCollum is just the man to ask if you need scoring off the bench

● Hapoel Jerusalem have won two of their three encounters with Karsiyaka in BCL history, including the reverse fixture this season (83-74). The Israeli side scored more than 80 points and were leading at half-time in each of those three previous games.

● Karsiyaka have a 1-4 record in their last five BCL games, including losses in the most recent two, but have never lost three games in a row this season. All of Karsiyaka's last 10 BCL games were decided by single-digit margins.

● Hapoel Jerusalem lost their last two BCL games after winning eight of their previous nine games. It's the first time they suffer two defeats in the Round of 16 in the past three seasons, since they had an amazing 12-1 record in their previous 13 games in this phase.

● Karsiyaka's Errick McCollum is leading the BCL this season in points off the bench, having scored 180 so far. McCollum also leads the league in most +20-point games coming off the bench, with three so far (including last week's matchup against Lenovo Tenerife when he scored 22 points.

● Hapoel Jerusalem's Levi Randolph, who scored 9 points in last week's game against Peristeri bwin, has never had consecutive single-digit games in the BCL since he joined Jerusalem, at the start of the 2022-23 season. He had 19 points in the reverse fixture against Karsiyaka.

Peristeri bwin (2-3) vs. Lenovo Tenerife (4-1)

Group K - 18:30 CET - Athens, Greece

Not a fan of either Peristeri or Tenerife? This is still a must-watch game, if only for the battle between recordmen Joe Ragland and Marcelinho Huertas

● Tenerife and Peristeri have met on five occasions previously, with Tenerife holding a 4-1 record in these matchups. Tenerife's three most recent wins were by margins greater than 20 points. Peristeri’s sole victory came the last time they hosted the Spanish team, 88-81 in October 2022.

● Peristeri are currently riding a two-game winning streak in the BCL and if they win on Tuesday they will tie their longest win run in the competition, for the second time this year. They had first won three in row in the 2020-21 season, when they wont three in row.

● Peristeri gave up allowed fewer than 75 points in each of their last two games. This is their best stretch in BCL history from a defensive point of view since October-December 2019, when they held opponents below 75 in five consecutive games.

● Tenerife are 3-6 in their last nine games away from home (including. neutral venues) and gave up 85 or more points in five of them. Seven of Tenerife's last eight games away from home were decided by a single-digit margin.

● Peristeri's Trevor Thompson had more than 10 rebounds in each of his last two BCL games, as often as in his first 19 appearances. He has averaged 11 rebounds per game in his last four home appearances, grabbing more than 10 rebounds in three of those four games.

● The two players with the most assists and the most double-doubles in the BCL are set to face each other in this game: Peristeri's Joe Ragland has 466 career assists and 15 double-doubles, while Tenerife’s Marcelinho Huertas has 557 career assists and 10 double-doubles. Ragland has never dished more than 5 assists in the four games in which he's faced Tenerife, while Huertas has never dished fewer than 6 in his five games against Peristeri.

SIG Strasbourg (1-4) vs. Tofas Bursa (2-3)

Group I - 20:30 CET - Strasbourg, France

Strasbourg need to win and their chances will greatly improve if Léo Cavaliere repeats the performance he had last week

● This will be the sixth time that Strasbourg and Tofas meet in the BCL, with the Turkish team currently leading with three wins, against two for the French team. Strasbourg won the two games in which they scored more than 75 points, while Tofas won the three in which Strasbourg scored 75 or fewer.

● Strasbourg are 4-1 in their last five home games in the BCL, scoring 80 or more points in each of those wins. Tofas are 0-2 in their two most recent games on the road, but have not lost three consecutive road games in the BCL since the 2021-22 season.

● Strasbourg are leading all Round of 16 teams in 3-point field goal percentage, as they are shooting 39.6 percent from behind the arc. However, on the defensive end they gave up 10 or more 3-pointers in each of their last five games, their longest such stretch in the competition.

● Strasbourg's Léo Cavaliere is coming off a BCL career-high 18-point performance in last week's win over Cholet (in 58 BCL appearances. Cavaliere has registered one double-double in the competition, and it was precisely at home against Tofas: He posted 15 points and 10 rebounds in their clash in October 2022.

● Austin Wiley of Tofas scored 15 or more points in six of the seven BCL games in which he played at least 25 minutes. He also grabbed 8 or more rebounds in each of those seven games, averaging 11.4 rebounds per game in that run.

Unicaja (5-0) vs. Cholet Basket (2-3)

Group I - 20:30 CET - Malaga, Spain

Cholet need to snap Unicaja's unbeaten streak and for that to happen Emmanuel Nzekwesi will have to continue his great run of form

● If Unicaja win on Wednesday they will extend their winning streak to six games, which would be their longest ever in the BCL. They are undefeated at home this BCL season, winning the five games in Malaga by an average margin of 19.4 points.

● Cholet have a 2-7 record in the nine games they have played on the road in the BCL, but both those wins came this season. Their heaviest defeat on the road though took place on their only previous trip to Spain, when they fell 95-75 at Lenovo Tenerife in the Regular Season.

● Unicaja's defense is leading the league this season in opponents' field goal percentage, holding opponents to just 41.9 percent shooting from the floor.

●By contrast, Cholet's defense is the most permissive among all Round of 16 teams, allowing opponents to shoot 49.2 percent from the floor.

● If Unicaja's Kendrick Perry scores 15 or more points on Wednesday he will have put together the first three-game stretch of +15-point games in his BCL career. Perry scored 10 or more points in six of his last seven games against French teams in the BCL. The Unicaja point guard however is doubtful for the game, after missing the Sunday Liga Endesa clash with Real Madrid.

● Cholet's Emmanuel Nzekwesi scored 10 or more points in each of his last five BCL games, after reaching double digits in scoring in only three of his first eight BCL appearances. He tallied 5 steals over his last two games, compared with 2 steals over his previous eight games combined.
