Wow Dowe: Chris Dowe lifts Prometey over Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem with overtime game-winner

ZAPORIZHZHYA (Ukraine) - Prometey kept their season alive in a dramatic 82-79 win, thanks to a game-winning three-pointer by Chris Dowe, evening up the Play-In series with Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem at one game apiece.

Prometey have now won three games in a row in the Basketball Champions League for the first time.

Turning point: There was no separation between the two teams through the first half, until Jerusalem eventually led by seven points after three quarters.

Their lead was erased by Prometey, as the two teams traded blows down the stretch of the final quarter.

Jerusalem were up 71-69 and then all this happened:

D.J. Kennedy knocked down a three-pointer to give Prometey a 72-71 lead with 1:13 left, Jalen Adams puts Jerusalem back up 73-72 with 56 seconds, D.J. Stephens hits two free-throws to give Prometey a 74-73 lead with 30 seconds, Adams makes another layup to give Jerusalem the 75-74 lead with 8 seconds, and finally, Miro Bilan makes one-of-two free-throws to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Both teams only scored four points each in the five-minute overtime period, until Dowe called game and sunk the game-winning three with a hand in his face:

Game hero: Kennedy did a little bit of everything for Prometey, as he finished the game with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.

He shot 6-of-15 from the field, 2-of-5 from three-point and had a game-high efficiency rating of 24.

Stats don't lie: Jerusalem had 22 turnovers and Prometey turned that into 24 points, while Jerusalem only scored six points from turnovers.

Prometey had a 9-2 advantage in steals, as Bilan and Stephens each had two; the Ukrainian club also had a 7-1 advantage in blocks, as Stephens (3) and Kennedy (2) combined for five of them.

Jerusalem outrebounded Prometey 47-39, but Prometey grabbed more offensive rebounds (12-8) and outscored Jerusalem 15-7 in second chance points.

Jerusalem's 39 defensive rebounds were the most by any team in a BCL game this season, while Prometey's 78 total shot attempts were the most by a team in the BCL so far this season.

Bottom line: Adams (25 points) and Suleiman Braimoh (21 points) combined to score 46 of Jerusalem's 79 points (58.2% of the team's total).

The two players also combined to make seven of Jerusalem's nine total threes.

Prometey have forced a deciding Game 3 that will take place back in Jerusalem on January 27 at 21:00 CET.

The winner of that game will advance to the Round of 16 Group K to play against Unicaja, U-BT Cluj Napoca and Filou Oostende.
