    Expert picks

Over the course of the season we will have a series of experts to call on for their predictions. You can either roll with their picks when you aren't sure or even better, take your opportunity to prove them wrong and outscore them on the Leaderboard.

BCL Columnist Diccon Lloyd-Smeath controlled the switch with his predictions for Gameday 4.

    Safe Pick🔒

My safe pick this week has to be Dreamland Gran Canaria at home in the second game in the double-header with KK Spartak Office Shoes.

Granca won the first game on the road in Serbia by 10 points and come into the game off the back of a friendly schedule with a 102-85 home win over Morabanc Andorra on Saturday.

In the first game between these two in late October, Braian Angola put up a season-high 24 points on 70 percent shooting, with 4 rebounds and 3 assists to go with them.

Nicolas Brussino also dropped 19 points on 57 percent shooting as Spartak struggled to contain Granca on the wings. That task is only going to get taller for Spartak on the road in the Canary Islands.

Granca also hold the matchup advantage for Points From Turnovers and Fastbreak Points in the BCL, with 21.3 and 12.3 respectively, whilst Spartak have recorded just 10.7 and 6.7.

In the first game between these two, Granca recorded an eye-popping 27 points from Spartak's 15 turnovers. I'm stumping for the Canary Islanders to force even more turnovers at home and convert those points into a win.

    Wildcard 🃏

Pallacanestro Trieste sit rock bottom of Group E, with an 0-3 record, and after already losing 91-76 against their next opponents, Igokea m:tel, they won't be heavily backed to get a win on the board in this game either.

But their only home game so far in the BCL probably paints a slightly more hopeful picture for the Italians. They very nearly knocked off last season's runners-up, Galatasaray.

In the end, Triest lost by just 1 point after taking the lead themselves with 7:30 on the clock, with the Turkish giants claiming the 91-90 road win.

In other good news for Trieste, they have just won 2 games on the bounce in the Lega Basket Serie A after wins over Udine and Treviso, and look like they might just be starting to click finally as a team.

It's a long way back to try and sneak their way into the Play-In spots, but I'm backing Israel Gonzalez's team to get the ball rolling in this one.
