BCL Fantasy tips: Green-and-white turning to Brown

MIES (Switzerland) - The eighth Basketball Champions League season brought along a new challenge, in our official Fantasy game. Every Monday, we bring you some tips on where to aim so that you can reach the highest possible number of points on the week.

Whether you're fighting for honors in a private league, or in the public weekly and monthly challenges, or in the Regular Season, by now you already know what you have on your team. But we have some insight for you to help boost your chances this specific week.

Improvement every game

Bursaspor Info Yatirim are playing their first BCL season. The start was an abysmal one, scoring just 48 points away from home against Rio Breogan, another newcomer, and it didn't get any better in the next game, either.

But the Turkish team grew with each passing game, and right now, three games in, they are back in the mix to reach the next round of the Basketball Champions League, owning a 1-3 record with a home game against Rio Breogan coming up this week.

They had a run of five wins in six games in November, showing that they do have something to offer even after a lot of changes over the summer.

The rise of Anthony Brown

One of the new faces in the club is actually an old face. Because Anthony Brown spent a part of the 2021-22 season in Bursa, he had the reputation and an idea of how to get things going on the offensive end.

He seems to be in the best rhythm of his run with Bursaspor, because he keeps on rising statistically every single week in the BCL. He started the season with just six points in 35 minutes, but returned with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists against the defending champs Telekom Baskets Bonn.

The former LA Laker was even better on the road in Bonn, getting 18 points, 7 assists and 3 rebounds, before finally getting to 20+ ground with a 22-point game against Hapoel Holon.

It's not just in the BCL that he is feeling good. Over the weekend, Brown had a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double against Tofas Bursa, so it sounds like a good idea to find a spot on your team for a guy as hot as Brown.

The fact that he scored just six points the first time he faced Rio Breogan in Spain might make him even more motivated for the reverse fixture in Turkiye this week.
