Can AEK make it 9 out of 9? Everything you need to know before Tuesday's games


MIES (Switzerland) - The end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season is close, since this is week 10 already! Let's have a look at some key facts before Tuesday's games.

Anwil (POL) v Sidigas Avellino (ITA)

  • Sidigas Avellino have won only one of their three games against Polish teams in BCL history: it was against Anwil in the reverse fixture (105-102).
  • Anwil have allowed their opponents to attempt only 13.2 free-throws per game, the fewest among all teams in BCL this season; Anwil have also made the fewest fouls per game (17) among all teams in the league in 2018-19.
  • Sidigas Avellino have grabbed the most defensive rebounds per game (31.9) in BCL this season; Sidigas Avellino have also made 3.7 blocks per game, a joint-high in the league in 2018/19.
  • Anwil's Michal Michalak has scored 15+ points in five of his first six BCL games this season but have failed to score more than 10 points in his last three appearances in the league.
  • Sidigas Avellino's Caleb Green has made an average of 17.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game in his last five appearances in BCL this season.

  • UNET Holon have won the previous and only encounter against PAOK in BCL history (72-68), in Gameday 3 of 2018/19 season; that was the game in which UNET Holon have conceded the fewest points in BCL history.
  • PAOK have scored 44% of their attempted 3-pointers, the best scoring ratio from behind the arc among all teams in BCL this season.
  • UNET Holon are the only team to have scored 50% or more of their 2PT attempts, 40% or more of their attempted 3-pointers and 80% or more of their shots from the free-throw line in BCL this season.
  • PAOK's Phil Goss scored 23 points against UNET Holon in their Gameday 3 matchup – he is the only player in PAOK squad to have scored 20+ points in two different BCL games this season.

  • Umana Reyer Venezia have lost their last two consecutive home games in BCL but have won 18 of the previous 19 BCL games they have played on their own court.
  • Opava have conceded an average of 92.1 points per game in BCL this season: they are the only team conceding 90+ points per game in the league in 2018/19.
  • Umana Reyer Venezia have won four of the five games in which MarQuez Hayes has scored 16+ points in BCL this season.
  • Radim Klecka has scored 20+ points in two BCL games this season – he is Opava's only player to have scored 20+ points in two or more games in the league in 2018/19.


     

Fribourg Olympic (SUI) v Iberostar Tenerife (ESP)

  • Iberostar Tenerife have won the previous and only encounter against Fribourg Olympic in BCL history (91-68), in Gameday 3 of the current season.
  • Fribourg Olympic have scored an average of 15.3 points per game in second chance situations, the most among all teams in BCL this season.
  • Iberostar Tenerife have won their last 11 consecutive away games in BCL, the longest winning streak away from home in the competition.
  • Babacar Toure has averaged 16.3 points and 10.4 rebounds per game for Fribourg Olympic in BCL this season: he is the only player with a double-double average in the league in 2018/19.
  • Iberostar Tenerife's Sebastian Saiz has averaged 13.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game in his last five appearances in BCL after averaging 7.5 points and 2.8 rebounds in his first four games in the competition in 2018/19.


     

CEZ Nymburk (CZE) v Lietkabelis (LTU)

  • CEZ Nymburk have lost eight of their last 10 BCL games after having won nine of the previous 10. They have lost four of their last five home games after winning 13 of their first 15 games on their home court.

  • AEK have won their last eight games, best current run in the competition. None of their last home games in BCL have seen a double-digit margin (W7 L1).
  • Only one team has suffered more fouls from their opponents than Bose Bamberg (206) and AEK (204) this season in BCL.
  • Brose Bamberg's Stevan Jelovac has scored 88.6% of his free-throws, best % among the forwards this season.

  • Besiktas Sompo Japan have only lost one of their last four BCL games after winning only one of their previous eight games.
  • Besiktas (54) and Strasbourg (61) are two of the five teams to have made the least 3-pointers in BCL this season.
  • Strasbourg's Youssoupha Fall has made on average 1.7 blocks per game, more than any other player this season in BCL. He has made a double-double in each of his last two games in the competition.
