The Great Eight: Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rakhman wins the round
MIES (Switzerland) - The eighth season of the Basketball Champions League continued on Tuesday with impressive individual performances all over the continent. In line with this being Season 8, we picked the eight best numbers of the day.
First things first, here are the results of the day:
- Darussafaka Lassa (2-0) v Lenovo Tenerife (1-1) 88-84
- Peristeri bwin (1-1) v Falco Vulcano Szombathely (0-2) 87-70
- MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg (1-1) v King Szczecin (1-1) 82-78
- Unicaja (2-0) v Le Mans Sarthe Basket (1-1) 83-74
And here are the eight best numbers of the day:
Most points
King Szczecin looked like they are about to steal one on the road in Germany, but Jayvon Graves had other ideas. He scored a day-high 22 points on 7-of-14 shooting from the field, with 7 rebounds and 5 assists also in for good measure.

He's the reason why MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg prevented an upset and got their first win of the BCL season, sending both teams to 1-1 in Group D. AEK BETSSON BC have a chance to be the only 2-0 team of the group when they face Banco di Sardegna Sassari on Wednesday.
Most rebounds
Morris Udeze is a name we're going to see a lot in this department this season. King Szczecin's big guy had 9 rebounds, with 15 points also to his name.
Another player with 9 rebounds was Le Mans Sarthe Basket's Selom Mawugbe, putting up a fight with Unicaja's front line in Malaga.
Most assists
Tonight, sharing wasn't caring. Two players were in double figures in assists, both with 11 dimes on Tuesday, but both on losing ends of their games. Marcelinho Huertas dished out 11 assists in Istanbul, but Lenovo Tenerife lost the game to Darussafaka Lassa, while Andrzej Mazurczak's 11 assists weren't enough for King Szczecin in Germany.
Most steals
Falco Vulcano Szombathely are getting tired of being patted on the back for trying, as they lost another game and fell to 0-2. But Akos Keller is doing the defensive work, the center had 4 steals against coach Vassilis Spanoulis and his Peristeri bwin offense.
Most blocks
Le Mans Sarthe Basket's Selom Mawugbe makes another appearance, with 5 blocks. He also had the aforementioned 9 rebounds, and scored 13 points on the road in Malaga.
Best +/-
Peristeri bounced back and Nate Renfro was an amazing alley-oop target for Jaylen Hands and Joe Ragland, so it's no wonder he was a massive +26 on the floor for the Greek team.

Honorable mention goes to Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman, who had 13 of his 16 points in Darussafaka's big third quarter run to stun Lenovo Tenerife. Dacka were a +18 team with him on the floor, that's a gigantic +/- considering the game finished +4.
Highest efficiency
Last week, we had our first triple-double in six years, and almost made it back-to-back on Tuesday. Andrzej Mazurczak finished with 15 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds, amounting to efficiency rating of 28. However, King Szczecin failed to use it to go to 2-0 in a hurry.
Most three-pointers made
It was a day of fours when it comes to threes. Four men scored four three-pointers, Aaron Doornekamp for Lenovo Tenerife, Matt Tiby for Falco Vulcano Szombathely, D'Shawn Schwartz for Le Mans Sarthe Basket and Dylan Osetkowski for Unicaja.
Ostekowski was the only one with a win, though.
