Ten takeaways from Week 2
MIES, Switzerland - The second week of the Basketball Champions League season is just behind us. The perfect time to have a look a some key facts to take away after this week's games.
There have been as many double-overtime games (3) in the BCL this season as in the previous two full seasons combined.
Teams
- CEZ Nymburk grabbed 60 rebounds against AEK, the most any team has ever tallied in a single BCL game.
- Fribourg Olympic grabbed 22 offensive rebounds against Opava, the most in BCL this season: Juventus Utena were the last team tallying more than 20 rebounds in a single BCL game, back in December 2017.
- Umana Reyer Venezia scored 111 points against UNET Holon, the most points scored by any team in BCL this season. They are only the fourth team ever to have scored 110+ points in a BCL game.
- UNET Holon made 15 3-pointers against Umana Reyer Venezia: it’s the second time this season that UNET Holon have hit 15+ shots from behind the arc.
- Banvit have scored 50+ points in the paint in each of their games in BCL this season. Aside from Banvit, only Fribourg Olympic have scored 50+ points in the paint in a single BCL game this season (56, vs Opava).

- UNET Holon's Khalif Wyatt scored 35 points against Umana Reyer Venezia, the most any player has scored in a BCL game since February 2017 when Fraport Skyliners' Mike Morrison scored 35 points against Pinar Karsiyaka.
- Umana Reyer Venezia's Austin Daye had 30 points and 11 rebounds against UNET Holon: he has been the only player in BCL combining for 30+ points and 10+ rebounds in a single game this season.
- Anwil's Valerii Likhodei had 28 points against Nizhny Novgorod, making 81.8% of his FG attempts and all nine shots from the FT line.
- Fribourg Olympic's Babacar Toure is the first player combining for 20+ points, 10+ rebounds and 5+ assists in a BCL game this season.
- Sidigas Avellino's Keifer Sykes scored 26 points against MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, the most among all players coming from the bench in the BCL this week. Sykes made 75% of his FG attempts, 100% of his 3-pointers and 80% of his free-throws.
