MIES (Switzerland) - The second week of action in the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League starts off on Tuesday with a big game in Group D between a Spanish and a Turkish powerhouse, and it only gets better from there!

Did you know that if Zaragoza lose to Besiktas on Tuesday they will have made the worse start by a Spanish team in the history of the competition? Let’s have a look at many more very interesting facts and figures as we head into Tuesday’s games.

Besiktas Sompo Sigorta v Casademont Zaragoza (Group D) - 18:00 CET

• Besiktas will play against a Spanish team for the first time in BCL history. Turkish teams have played 11 times against Spanish sides in the competition, winning only three of those encounters.
  
  
• Besiktas have won nine of their last 10 Regular Season games in the BCL. They will try to win their first two games of the season for the second time in their four campaigns in the BCL, after 2016-17. 
  
  
• Besiktas (conceded the least points (60) among all teams on Gameday 1. They have not allowed their opponents to score 70 or more points in any of their last three games in the BCL.
  
  
• Zaragoza lost their debut game in the BCL (71-85 v Telekom Baskets Bonn), but a Spanish team have never lost their first two games of a BCL season. 
  
  
• Robin Benzing scored 17 points in his first game with Zaragoza in the BCL, but he has never scored 16+ points in consecutive games in the competition – Benzing appeared in 13 games with Besiktas in the BCL, averaging 12.1 points per game in that span.

 Falco Szombathely v PAOK (Group D) - 18:00 CET

• This will be the third game between a Hungarian and a Greek team in the BCL, with the latter winning both previous matchups as AEK beat Szolnoki Olaj by 92-49 in Greece and 89-76 in Hungary, both in 2016/17.
  
  
• Falco conceded the most points in fast-break situations (31) and the most points in the paint (54) among all teams on Gameday 1 in the BCL this season.
  
  
• PAOK have never won their first away game in a BCL season (lost on three ocasions), with two of those defeats by a margin of 10+ points.
  
  
• PAOK have lost 10 of their 11 away games in which they have conceded 75+ points in the BCL.
  
  
• On the other hand, PAOK have won eight of their last 10 games away from home in which they have conceded fewer than 75 points in the BCL.
  
  
• Falco’s Juvonte Reddic (22pts) and Marko Filipovity (22pts) were the only players from the same team to score 20+ points on Gameday 1 this season.

Polski Cukier Torun v SIG Strasbourg (Group A) - 18:30 CET

• Torun will try to avoid becoming the first Polish team losing their first two games in the BCL, after losing their debut game against Baxi Manresa (81-85) on Gameday 1.
  
  
• Strasbourg will play against a Polish team for the third time in the BCL, having won their two previous games against Rosa Radom by 11+ points, in 2017-18.
  
  
• Strasbourg will aim to win their first two games of a BCL season for the second campaign in a row.
• Strasbourg forced their opponents to score only 15 percent of their attempted three-pointers on Gameday 1 in BCL this season, the lowest scoring percentage among all teams in that round.
  
  
• Torun’s Damian Kulig scored 20+ points in three of his 39 appearances in the BCL, including in this season’s opener, with 22 points vs Baxi Manresa.
  
  
• Strasbourg’s Damien Inglis has scored 13+ points in six of his seven BCL appearances in which he has played 20+ minutes, including on Gameday 1 when he had 14 points in 28 minutes against Filou Oostende.

Filou Oostende v UNET Holon (Group A) - 18:30 CET

Filou Oostende hope to finally break with tradition on Tuesday by winning their home opener

• Oostende have lost their first home game of the season in each of their three previous campaigns in the BCL.
  
  
• Oostende have scored 75 or more points in 10 of their 21 home games in the BCL, winning eight of those 10 encounters in which they have scored 75+ points; they have won only three of the 11 home games in which they have scored fewer than 75 points in the BCL.
  
  
• Holon have lost their last four games in the BCL but have never lost five consecutive games in the competition. They have won three of their last five away games in the BCL but have lost all their previous nine games away from home in the competition.
  
  
• Holon have scored an average of 10.5 shots from behind the arc in their last 10 games in the BCL – they scored 10 three-point shots against Turk Telekom on Gameday 1.
  
  
• Jean-Marc Mwema scored in double-digits on Gameday 1 for only the fifth time in his 38 appearances with Oostende in the BCL – he has never scored 10+ points in consecutive games in the competition.

ERA Nymburk v Gaziantep (Group C) - 18:30 CET

• Nymburk will play against a Turkish opponent for the fifth time in BCL history, winning only one of their previous encounters with a team from that country (86-75 at home v Bandirma in 2016-17).
  
  
• Nymburk scored 91 points on Gameday 1 against Brose Bamberg in 2019-20 but have never scored 90+ points in consecutive games in their 47 appearances in the competition.
  
  
• Gaziantep have lost five of the seven games they have played away from home in the BCL, and each of those defeats was by a margin of 12+ points.
  
  
• Gaziantep have never won a game in which they have scored fewer than 80 points (in 11 games) and won all the four where they scored 80+ points.
  
  
• Nymburk’s Jaromir Bohacik scored 24 points on Gameday 1 against Brose Bamberg, the most points he has ever scored in a single BCL game – Bohacik has never scored 20+ points in consecutive games in his 30 appearances in the competition.

Mornar Bar - Iberostar Tenerife (Group C) - 18:30 CET

Tenerife's Txus Vidorreta is only two victories away from topping the list of coaches with the most wins in BCL

• Mornar Bar and Iberostar Tenerife will meet for the third time in BCL history, with the Spanish side winning the previous two matchups: 103-57 in Spain and 89-72 in Montenegro, both in the 2016-17 season.
  
  
• Mornar Bar have not won any of their last five home games in the BCL, conceding 83+ points in each of the last three games on their home court.
  
  
• Tenerife have won 90.5 percent of their away games in the Regular Season (19 wins in 21 games), the highest winning percentage among all teams playing away from home in the history of the competition (among teams that have played a minimum of 2 games).
  
  
• Tenerife have forced their opponents to score fewer than 70 points in a total of 35 BCL games,13 more times than any other team that has teaken part in the competition.
  
  
• Only three head coaches have won 30+ games in the history of BCL: Zvezdan Mitrovic (33), Walter De Raffaele (32) and Tenerife’s Txus Vidorreta (31).

EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez - RASTA Vechta (Group B) - 20:00 CET

Could Vechta's Trevis Simpson become the first player to score 30 points in two consecutive BCL games?

• This will be the 22nd encounter between a French and a German team in BCL history, with French sides winning 15 of those previous 21 games in the competition.
  
  
• Pau-Lacq-Orthez lost their debut game in the BCL (82-102 against AEK) - SIG Strasbourg in 2016-17 remain are the only French team to have lost their first two games in the BCL.
  
  
• Vechta won their debut game in the BCL (89-76 against Anwil) and will try to become the second German team to win their first two games in the competition (medi Bayreuth also won their first two BCL games in 2017-18).
  
  
• Vechta made the most three-pointers (16) and dished out the most assists (30) among all teams on Gameday 1. However, they also conceded the most offensive rebounds (21) among all teams in the competition on Gameday 1.
  
  
• Vechta’s Trevis Simpson scored 30 points in the premiere, more points than any other player on Gameday 1 of the 2019-20 season. No player has ever scored 30+ points in consecutive games in the competition.

San Pablo Burgos - Anwil Wloclawek (Group B) - 20:30 CET

• Burgos will try to become the first Spanish team to win their first two home games in the BCL, after beating Telenet Giants Antwerp 90-76 on Gameday 1.
  
  
• Burgos scored 90 points in their debut game in the BCL, and only Iberostar Tenerife have scored 90+ points in consecutive BCL games among all Spanish teams that ever took part in the competition.
  
  
• Anwil have played twice before against a Spanish team, losing both of their encounters with UCAM Murcia in the 2018-19 season: The Polish side lost 68-87 at home and 70-78 in Spain.
  
  
• Anwil have lost their last five BCL games away from home, conceding on average 83 points per game in that span.
  
  
• Anwil collected the most offensive (21) and defensive (33) rebounds among all teams on Gameday 1. Last season, Anwil never grabbed 40+ rebounds in consecutive games in the BCL.
  
  
• Burgos were the only team on Gameday 1 to have two players coming from the bench and scoring 14+ points (Bruno Fitipaldo and Vitor Benite, with 14 points each).

Happy Casa Brindisi - Telekom Baskets Bonn (Group D) - 20:30 CET

• Brindisi will try to avoid becoming the second Italian team to lose their first two games in the BCL, after Capo d’Orlando in 2017-18.
  
  
• Bonn have won three of their last four games in the BCL but have lost three of their last four away games in the competition.
  
  
• Brindisi (5) and Telekom Baskets Bonn (4) were two of the four teams that failed to score more than five free-throws on Gameday 1.
  
  
• Brindisi were the only team with no player scoring more than 11 points in the premiere of the 2019-20 season.
  
  
• John Brown registered an efficiency rating of 40 in Brindisi's 108-99 win over Pesaro in the Italian Serie A at the weekend, joining team-mate Adrian Banks as the only two players in the history of the club to have reached that milestone.
