The derby between powerhouses from the Canary Islands will be the cherry on top of the cake, but Wednesday's action in the Round of 16 features four other clashes as well. Stay with us to find out 30 facts about them.

Galatasaray MCT Technic vs. Hapoel Netanel Holon - Group I, 18:00 CET

Errick McCollum had a vintage night against Rytas Vilnius
    • Galatasaray MCT Technic have won six of their last seven BCL games played outside of Türkiye, including the most recent four – their best such winning run in the competition.

    • Hapoel Netanel Holon have lost consecutive BCL games by margins of 20+ points for the first time in the competition, allowing 100+ points in their first two games of this Round of 16. In total, they have allowed 100+ points in 10 BCL games, at least four more than any other team.

    • Galatasaray have made only 9.5 turnovers per 100 possessions, the best turnover ratio of any team in the BCL this season; they are averaging 10.1 turnovers per game, the lowest average this season.

    • Errick McCollum (Galatasaray) needs only 10 points to reach 600 scored in the competition, having scored 590 points in his 33 appearances; if he does that in that game, he will be the second-fastest player to reach that total in the competition, after Kevin Punter (33 games) - he has never scored fewer than 10 points in any of his 16 home games in the BCL.

    • Derrick Walton Jr (Holon) scored only seven points last week against Le Mans but has never scored fewer than 10 points in consecutive BCL games; he averaged 17.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 10.0 assists in his previous two games against a team from Türkiye (Bursaspor in the regular season).

    • Galatasaray beat Aliaga Petkimspor 90-61, led by Can Korkmaz's 19 points; Holon played in the Israeli Basketball State Cup and lost 96-78 to Galil Gilboa.

Le Mans Sarthe Basket vs. Rytas Vilnius - Group I, 20:00 CET

David DiLeo had his season high against Hapoel Netanel Holon
    • Le Mans Sarthe Basket have won their last five games in the BCL, their best winning run in the competition; they never trailed by more than four points in any of those five games, even preventing their opponents from leading in two of the most recent three.

    • Rytas Vilnius have only won two of their nine road games in the BCL Round of 16 and lost the most recent three, allowing 89+ points on each occasion; however, one of the two wins came in France, 73-71 against Strasbourg in 2021-22.

    • Le Mans have made more three-pointers per game than any other team in the BCL this season (11.3), while boasting the second-highest 3PTS percentage this term (40.9%, only behind Hapoel Holon, 43.5%).

    • David DiLeo (Le Mans) has scored 68 points in his four BCL games in 2026 (17.0ppg), which is 10 more than in his six games played in 2025 (58 – 9.7ppg). He has enjoyed as many BCL wins in 2026 (4) as in his first 14 appearances in the competition (W4 L10 with PAOK and Le Mans).

    • Jerrick Harding (Rytas) is averaging 21.0 points per game in the 2025-26 BCL, his best average in a single BCL season; he has scored 17.5 points per game in his four appearances against French sides in the competition, including 30 in his most recent one, against Limoges in December 2022 - his joint-high in the BCL.

    • Both teams lost during the weekend: Le Mans had the 103-96 road defeat to Strasbourg, while Rytas suffered the 95-87 loss away from Vilnius against Neptunas.

ALBA BERLIN vs. Karditsa Iaponiki - Group J, 20:00 CET

Best Young Player or Most Valuable Player of the Season? That's the question for Jack Kayil
    • ALBA BERLIN have won their last two home games in the BCL, scoring 94+ points on both occasions; German teams have previously lost six of their seven Round of 16 games against teams from Greece, including all three games played at home.

    • Karditsa Iaponiki have lost their last two BCL games but have yet to lose three in a row in the competition. They have allowed more than 80 points in each of their five away games (W2 L3).

    • ALBA have seen their bench players averaging 46.8 points per game, the highest average of any bench unit in the BCL this season; they have had, at least, one player coming off the bench and scoring 16+ points in three of their last four games in the competition.

    • Jack Kayil (ALBA) has scored a total of 36 points in this Round of 16 of the BCL, only four points fewer than in his six games during the regular season (40). However, he is averaging 3.7 points per game when playing at home and 13.0 points per game when playing away from home.

    • Damien Jefferson (Karditsa) has scored 15+ points in each of his two games in this BCL Round of 16 but has never done it in more games in a row in the competition. He has averaged 18.0 points per game in his last three away appearances in the BCL.

    • On Monday, ALBA got the 99-92 road victory against Trier, also thanks to Jack Kayil's 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists; Brandon Jefferson scored 27 points, but Karditsa lost 93-73 on the road against Iraklis.

Pallacanestro Trieste vs. ERA Nymburk - Group L, 20:00 CET

Jeff Brooks has been improving lately for Pallacanestro Trieste
    • Pallacanestro Trieste have only won one of their four home games in the BCL and lost the most recent two; they have allowed 89+ points in each of those four home games while allowing fewer than 89 points in six of their seven road games.

    • ERA Nymburk have won only one of their last six road games in the BCL after winning the previous seven; they have won seven of their nine road games in the Round of 16 but lost the last one, 80-104 against La Laguna Tenerife this year.

    • Of Trieste’s 64.1 attempted field goals per game, 48.9 percent are being taken from behind the arc, the highest 3PA load of any team in the BCL this season; they are one of the seven teams making more than 10 threes per game in the league in 2025-26.

    • Jeff Brooks (Trieste) has scored 10+ points in each of his last three BCL games after reaching that mark in only two of his first five games; he has grabbed 6+ rebounds in six of his eight games, including in each of his last four.

    • Vojtech Hruban (Nymburk) has scored 14+ points in each of his last three road games in the BCL Round of 16 after reaching that mark in only two of his previous eight road games at that round.

    • With Mady Sissoko (14 points and 8 rebounds) returning to the court, Trieste beat Treviso 84-76 in front of their fans; Nymburk had the 113-84 victory against NH Ostrava away from home.

Dreamland Gran Canaria vs. La Laguna Tenerife - Group L, 21:00 CET

Bruno Fitipaldo needs four more assists to join an elite company
    • Dreamland Gran Canaria have only lost one of their eight BCL games, but it was during their last home game, 71-77 against Trieste. They are averaging 77.0 points per game when playing at home, 10 fewer than when playing away (87.0).

    • Tenerife have won their last eight games played in the BCL Round of 16 despite trailing at halftime in six of those games. They have won 10 of their last 13 BCL games played against fellow teams from Spain.

    • Gran Canaria are the only team allowing fewer than 100 points per 100 possessions in the BCL this season, with their 99.2 defensive rating being, obviously, the best in the league this term.

    • Mike Tobey has scored 10+ points in 43 percent of his BCL games with Gran Canaria (3-of-7) after reaching double-digits in scoring in 93 percent of his appearances with Tenerife (13-of-14); he had a double-double the last time he faced a team from Spain in the competition (12pts & 13reb vs. UCAM Murcia in the Round of 16 2017-18).

    • Bruno Fitipaldo (Tenerife) has scored 15+ points in three of his last five games in the BCL after reaching that mark in only two of his previous 30 appearances. He has averaged 3.0 three-pointers made in his last five BCL appearances. He needs four assists to become the fourth player to have dished out 400+ assists in the competition.

    • Different results for the two teams from the Canary Islands this week: Gran Canaria lost 94-78 away from home against Andorra, while Tenerife beat Baskonia 89-85, pushed by Marcelinho Huertas' 23 points and 6 assists.
