    Team of the Group Phase: Hill, Rubio, Cummings, White, Silva

    The Group Phase of the Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL is behind us in the Basketball Champions League. Time to honor the best performers from the first part of the campaign.

    MIES (Switzerland) - Season X of the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL reached its midway point, as the Group Phase ended and the teams are getting ready for the Play-Ins and the Round of 16.

    We've seen plenty of great individual performances, and these five players were named to the Team of the Group Phase: Jeremiah Hill (Elan Chalon), Ricky Rubio (Joventut Badalona), Will Cummings (Galatasaray MCT Technic), Jack White (Mersin Sports Club) and Chris Silva (AEK BC).

    Season X Team of the Group Phase

    Jeremiah Hill made Elan Chalon one of the best stories of the season in all of Europe, taking them from the Qualifying Round Tournaments in Bulgaria to a 5-1 record in Group B.

    The 30-year-old guard had 16.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game, while knocking down numerous clutch shots to make Chalon a contender in Season X.

    Ricky Rubio came back to professional basketball, and wasted no time in making his presence felt. Joventut Badalona's superstar averaged 14.2 points on 53 percent shooting from three-point range, with 4.8 assists and 1.4 steals also to his name.

    The best part about his performances: He played a total of 88 minutes (17.5 per game), and Joventut were a +64 team with him on the floor this season.

    Will Cummings carried Galatasaray MCT Technic all the way to the championship game in Season IX.

    His Season X run is arguably even more impressive.

    The 33-year-old had 18.3 points, 5.8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game, propelling Galatasaray to the Round of 16 in one of the toughest pools of the Group Phase, finishing in front of Fitness First Wurzburg Baskets, Pallacanestro Trieste and Igokea m:tel.

    Jack White has been on fire recently in the BCL, when Mersin Sports Club needed it the most. The Australian forward was simply stunning in the last two games, collecting back-to-back double-doubles.

    White's season numbers suggest he provides 11.5 points, 6.3 and a league leading 2.2 blocks per game. He had a total of 34 points and 28 rebounds against Karditsa Iaponiki and Filou Oostende to earn Mersin home-court advantage in the Play-Ins.

    Finally, the middle belongs to Chris Silva. The 29-year-old center dominated highlights with his poster dunks week in, week out, and with his size and strength complementing RaiQuan Gray's skillset perfectly in the frontcourt, AEK BC stormed to a 5-1 record.

    Silva had 14.8 points while shooting 70 percent from the field, and he also grabbed 8.0 rebounds, dished out nearly two assists and stole the ball 1.6 times per game. With 21.0 efficiency rating, he was third among all players in Season X.

    The Most Valuable Player of the Group Phase will be announced on Tuesday.
