    Expert picks

Over the course of the season, we will have a series of experts to call on for their predictions. You can either roll with their picks when you aren't sure or, even better, take your opportunity to prove them wrong and outscore them on the Leaderboard.

We have a special guest bringing you the expert picks this week. Former AEK star and BCL Champion, Dusan Sakota, stepped back into the spotlight to give us his predictions:

    Safe Pick🔒

No surprises with Sakota's safe pick this week. "Of course, I'm gonna go with AEK on this one," he said with a smile on his face.

Obviously, everybody was expecting the AEK legend and former BCL champion in 2017 to go with his family club. Still, aside from the obvious loyalty, there is also a solid logic behind picking AEK this week.

They have beaten Karditsa Iaponiki every time they have met this season. They have also won eight of the last nine games they have played in the Round of 16, including the last three games in a row against teams from Greece.

Frank Bartley is certainly one to watch in this game as well. He's scored 17 or more points in six of his last seven BCL games and is absolutely on fire at this point of the season.

    Wildcard 🃏

Galatasaray was Dusan's wildcard pick this week.

"It's a very tough one, but you know, Galata's got a very experienced team, they have to answer back, and I think they're gonna take this road game," he explained.

Ordinarily, Gala would be the hot favorite in this game, but going against Le Mans right now is absolutely a wildcard pick. Guillaume Vizade's team are one of the hottest teams in the entire league right now, having won six BCL games on the spin.

Gala don't usually travel that well in the BCL either, but they have forged a mini-run recently, having won their last two road games. They left it at home against Holon last week but at the same time showed exactly how dangerous this team can be in a very short period of time.

As Sakota explained, it will be a tough game, but if you have the courage to back the road team in this one, you could be rewarded.
