    29 things to look out for in Tuesday's games

    A five-game schedule and plenty of action on Tuesday

    MIES (Switzerland) - Who will come out on top in the Greek derby between Karditsa Iaponiki and AEK BC? Will Asisa Joventut extend their winning streak, boosting their status on the road to the Final Four in Badalona?

    We will have the answer to these and more questions on Tuesday night, as a five-game schedule in the Round of 16 of the Basketball Champions League, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, awaits us.

    Karditsa Iaponiki vs. AEK BC - Group J, 18:30 CET

    • Karditsa have lost their three games in the Round of 16, their longest losing run in the BCL; they were leading at the end of the third quarter in two of those last three defeats.

    • AEK have won eight of their last nine games played in the Round of 16 of the BCL, including the last four in a row, and will try to win five consecutive games at that stage for the first time; they have won their last three Round of 16 games played against fellow teams from Greece, including the reverse fixture against Karditsa (88-73).

    • No team has made more than 10 shots from behind the arc in more BCL games this season than Karditsa (6 games, also Cholet), but AEK BC are one of the three teams that have never conceded more than 10 three-pointers in a BCL game in 2025-26 and the only one among the 16 still in the competition.

    • Damien Jefferson (Karditsa) has scored more than 10 points in each of his last seven BCL games, averaging 16.4 points per game in that span; he has grabbed 8+ rebounds in three of his last four home appearances.

    • Frank Bartley has scored 17+ points in six of his last seven BCL games, making 3+ three-pointers in each of those six games, with AEK losing the only game in that span where he failed to reach that mark (11pts vs. NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz).

    • Different results from the weekend in Greece for the two teams: AEK beat Maroussi 83-74 at home as RaiQuan Gray and Frank Bartley combined for 41 points, while Karditsa lost 78-53 at home to Panathinaikos.

    ERA Nymburk vs. La Laguna Tenerife - Group L, 18:30 CET

    • ERA Nymburk have lost two of their last three home games in the BCL Round of 16 after winning the previous five; their last eight home games in the Round of 16 ended either with a margin of at least 15 points (4) or with a margin of fewer than five points (4).

    • La Laguna Tenerife have won nine of their last 11 BCL Round of 16 games played outside of Spain, scoring 80+ points in eight of those games. Their last six games in the Round of 16 ended with a win of the team trailing at halftime (W5 L1).

    • Nymburk are grabbing on average 15.4 offensive rebounds per game in the BCL this season, more than any other team. Only Hapoel Netanel Holon have a lower average than Tenerife (8.4); consequently, no team have scored fewer points from second chances per game on average than the Spanish side (8.3).

    • Sir' Jabari Rice (Nymburk) is averaging 11.3 points per game in this Round of 16 after averaging 22.1 points per game in his first seven BCL appearances; the only game where he scored fewer than 10 points was against Tenerife (9pts).

    • Ondrej Sehnal stepped up with a double-double of 20 points and 10 assists to push Nymburk to a 107-92 road win over Decin in Czechia; Tenerife had a bad weekend, losing 96-88 to San Pablo Burgos despite a 29-point effort by Wesley Van Beck.

    • Holon have lost four of their five meetings with teams from Lithuania in the BCL and suffered their heaviest defeat in those games during the reverse fixture against Rytas Vilnius this year (106-81). It was also their heaviest defeat against any team in the Round of 16.

    • Rytas have only won two of their 10 BCL Round of 16 games played outside of Lithuania and lost the most recent four; they conceded 85+ points in six of those 10 games.

    • Rytas are the team averaging the most points in the first quarter in the BCL this season (25.2), while Holon are the team with the most points scored in the third quarter (24.1).

    • Xavier Munford (Holon) has scored more than 20 points in two of his last three BCL games, including 23 in the reverse fixture against Rytas. He has made exactly six assists in three of his last four games.

    • Arturas Gudaitis (Rytas) has grabbed more than five rebounds in seven of his last eight BCL games, averaging 7.6 rebounds grabbed per game in that span; he is averaging 3.3 blocks per game in this Round of 16, including four against Holon in the reverse fixture.

    • Jordan McRae had a 25-point effort but couldn't avoid Holon's 87-76 home defeat to Bnei Herzliya; Rytas beat Jonava 101-84 on the road, led by Jordan Caroline's 26 points.

    ALBA BERLIN vs. Tofas Bursa - Group J, 20:00 CET

    • ALBA Berlin have won their last three home games in the BCL despite trailing at halftime in the most recent two; the two teams managed to score 80+ points in each of ALBA's last two home games.

    • Tofas Bursa have won only one of their last six Round of 16 games in the BCL, and their two defeats at that stage this year came after they were leading at halftime – they had a nine-point lead at halftime against ALBA in the reverse fixture (43-34) before losing the game 90-94.

    • Tofas have made the joint-most two-pointers per game among all teams in the BCL this season (22.0 – also Herzliya), but ALBA rank third, with 21.6 two-pointers made per game. Consequently, they are the team averaging the most points in the paint per game this season (40.2 each).

    • Jack Kayil (ALBA) has scored 20 points in each of his last two BCL appearances after averaging 8.0 points per game in his first seven appearances. He has made at least one steal in each of his four home games in the competition (1.8 on average).

    • Marek Blazevic (Tofas) has recorded three double-doubles in the BCL, including one in the reverse fixture against ALBA (12pts, 11reb), a joint-high in the competition history among all players born in the 21st century, alongside Vernon Carey Jr.

    • Led by Moses Wood's 19 points over 5-of-7 from deep, ALBA beat Rasta Vechta 84-82; Tofas lost 88-83 in front of their fans to Mersin Sports Club despite Hugo Besson's 22 points.

    Elan Chalon vs. Asisa Joventut - Group K, 20:00 CET

    • Elan Chalon have won five of their last six home games in the BCL, including the most recent three – their best winning run at home in the competition; six of their last seven home games ended with margins greater than 10 points.

    • Joventut have won their nine games in the BCL and never trailed at halftime in any of those games (8 leads, 1 tie after 20 minutes); however, each of their last two away games ended with a margin of only two points, including one in France (89-87 at Cholet).

    • Chalon are the team averaging the most fast break points per game in the BCL Round of 16 2025-26 (17.3), while Joventut are the team averaging the most points in the paint (42.0).

    • Jeremiah Hill (Chalon) has scored at least 14 points in each of his five home games in the BCL; he is averaging 18.2 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.8 assists when playing on his home court in the competition.

    • Cameron Hunt (Joventut) has scored 15+ points in four of his last five BCL games, including 22 points against Chalon in the reverse fixture; he has averaged 17.0 points per game in his last eight Round of 16 appearances with 20+ minutes played.

    • Despite Nate Darling's 22 points over 4-of-7 from beyond the arc, Chalon lost 92-78 to Monaco at home; Joventut beat Valencia 90-87 after a thrilling encounter in the ACB.
