Media accreditation for Basketball Champions League Final Eight now open

MIES (Switzerland) - Media accreditation is now open for the 2020 Basketball Champions League Final Eight in Athens, Greece.

The event will take place in the Greek capital from September 30 to October 4.

Media representatives who wish to attend are kindly requested to apply using the Media Portal.
The deadline for submitting applications is September 25. If you have questions or require additional information, please contact us at communications@championsleague.basketball.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Successful applicants will be notified by the Basketball Champions League; completing the application form does not automatically guarantee accreditation.

To be considered for media credentials, an applicant must represent a bona fide media organization that produces and publishes original content.

Applications for media credentials by agents, educational booklet authors, fan bloggers, or media that do not produce original content based on generally accepted news gathering criteria will not be considered.

Freelancers (writers, photographers and videographers) may be asked to prove that they are on assignment with a media outlet to be considered for credentials.

A proper and valid, electronic version of a portrait photo (headshot) of the applicant must be uploaded during the procedure. Applications that do not include a proper and valid photo may not be considered.

SPECIFIC 2020 MEASURES:
Please, note that all accredited media are expected to fully respect and comply with COVID-19 related guidelines which, among others, may restrict access to certain areas inside the venue. Those guidelines will be forwarded to accredited media following their accreditation approval.

As the situation in terms of attendances of sports events remains unclear and considering that changes may occur at any time, Basketball Champions League reserves its right to cancel the accreditation procedure or to withdraw any given accreditation prior to the event, based on recommendations or instructions by health and local authorities.
