Basketball Champions League welcomes 40 Technical Delegates

MIES, Switzerland (Basketball Champions League) - On Thursday, the Basketball Champions League (BCL) welcomed 40 Technical Delegates for a workshop at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland.

Being the official representatives of the Basketball Champions League during the Regular Season that tips off on 18 October, 40 among the most experienced Technical Delegates (one per participating team) attended a working session organised by the Basketball Champions League staff. Introduced by the competition CEO, Patrick Comninos, the full-day workshop covered a wide range of subjects, starting with digital, TV and media operations.

"We want to position the Basketball Champions League as a top level competition and we can only achieve this aim with the participation of the best game specialists. We are very pleased to welcome 40 among the best and most renowned Technical Delegates at the House of Basketball. This workshop is paramount in safeguarding a consistent delivery at all Basketball Champions League games and offering a high level of technical support to the participating teams during the competition," he said.

In the afternoon, Kosta Iliev, Sport & Venues Senior Manager for the Basketball Champions League, led the discussions around sport and competition. He confirmed the importance of holding this type of working session prior to the start of the Regular Season.

"It was a very intense workday, but extremely interesting. Being able to bring together the best Technical Delegates in Europe was a challenge, but the staff of the Basketball Champions League is very happy to have witnessed such enthusiasm from them to work for this brand new pan-European competition," he said.
