MIES (Switzerland) - Week 2 of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League is now in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The second Team of the Week consists of Breein Tyree, Saben Lee, Zac Seljaas, Desi Rodriguez and Christian Bishop.
Tyree helped Aliaga Petkimspor collect a 2-0 start to their BCL campaign, while getting his personal BCL career-high. To make it more personal, Tyree did it against his former club, Filou Oostende from Belgium.
Lee tied the all-time scoring mark with 43 points in a game, leading Manisa Basket to two road wins in their first two BCL games. He became the seventh player to score 40+ in a single BCL game, and the first player to score 30+ points in his first two games in this competition.
Seljaas is the major reason why the stands are packed in Wurzburg, turning himself into the leader they needed and after a 2-0 start, he could be in the MVP of the Season conversation, too.
Rodriguez helped Nanterre 92 avoid an 0-2 hole, they picked up a valuable win on the road against Hapoel Netanel Holon, with Rodriguez coming up big when it mattered most.
Another road warrior, Christian Bishop went flying for 40 minutes against Galatasaray in Istanbul. His efficient performance propelled the Czech champs ERA Nymburk to a 2-0 start, too.
You can now vote for the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday, when the poll closes, on the official BCL social media channels: Facebook, X(Twitter) and Instagram.
