Play-Ins, Round of 16 picture: What if the Group Phase ended today?

MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League is in its tenth season, and the teams are approaching the end of the Group Phase.

With the Play-Ins pairings and Round of 16 groups predetermined by draw, there are some clues as to who could be there on the other sides for these clubs when they make it to the next stage of the competition.

Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL will see Regular Season group winners advancing straight to the Round of 16, while second and third-placed teams from each group move to the Play-Ins best-of-three series.

Galatasaray MCT Technic were the first team to secure their ticket to the Round of 16.

Dreamland Gran Canaria also advanced on Gameday 4.

Rytas Vilnius booked their boarding pass to Round of 16 after five games in Group A.

Joventut Badalona joined them after their fifth consecutive win in Group C.

Defending champions Unicaja secured their spot on Tuesday, December 9.

A day later, 2018 champions AEK BC stayed perfect and won Group F with a game in hand.

Also on December 10, La Laguna Tenerife secured the tiebreaker over Trapani Shark, even in defeat, to win Group D.

Finally, the last direct ticket to the Round of 16 was picked up by ALBA BERLIN, Group B winners on the last Gameday.

The top two teams from each Round of 16 group will continue their run in the Quarter-Finals. The group winners would have home-court advantage in best-of-three series against a runner-up from any of the other three groups.

The season will conclude with a Final Four tournament in early May.
