MIES (Switzerland) - Week 3 of the 2024-25 Basketball Champions League is now in the books, and now that we've digested Tuesday's and Wednesday's action, Thursday brings us a chance to reflect on the best individual performances.
The third Team of the Week consists of Zoltan Perl, Errick McCollum, Christian Vital, Gytis Radzevicius and Thomas Kennedy.
Perl is selected to the Team of the Week for the second time this season, and he won the fans' vote in Week 1, earning the first Player of the Week honors of Season 9. With Perl shining, Falco-Vulcano Szombathely are off to a 2-0 start in the BCL for just the second time in their history.
McCollum took over for Karsiyaka this week, looking extremely motivated to prove to the youngsters that he is still the one to follow in west Turkiye. He will turn 37 in January, but shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Vital was unstoppable for Bertram Derthona Basket, especially in the first half, as they are now a member of the elite company of eight teams at 2-0. Vital's three-point shooting was too much for BAXI Manresa on the day.
Radzevicius set his new BCL career-high, playing his 41st game in this competition. Rytas collected their first win of the season, with two games against Perl and Szombathely coming up next for them.
Finally, Kennedy was the unsung hero of Telekom Baskets Bonn's win over AEK Betsson BC. With exactly 10.0 rebounds, he is leading the boards per game stat in the BCL this season.
You can now vote for the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday, when the poll closes, on the official BCL social media channels: Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram.
