MURCIA (Basketball Champions League) - Dinamo Sassari got the victory they craved at UCAM Murcia on Wednesday night with Scott Bamforth leading the way.
A former Murcia player who spent last season with Bilbao, Bamforth returned to his old club and made many of the big plays in the second half in an 83-78 triumph for the Sardinian side. The 28-year-old finished with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steals.

His most important shots came in the final few minutes. With the game knotted at 71-71, Bamforth struck from long range. After the excellent Clevin Hannah cut the deficit to one with a pair of free-throws, Bamforth again buried a 3-ball for a 77-73 advantage.
When Belgium international Kevin Tumba scored with a put-back dunk, Bamforth was the next to score with a jump shot for an 80-75 lead.
Dinamo, beaten 88-87 on Gameday 1 at home by Pinar Karsiyaka and then 83-76 by EWE Baskets Oldenburg last week, showed flair, determination and grit to win at UCAM Murcia, who dropped to 2-1.
Hannah had 21 points in defeat.
