Who is the best long-range gunner in the Basketball Champions League?

The nets are still smoking in Klaipeda, Lithuania, and in Rishon Le Zion, Israel. That's where Neptunas Klaipeda's Jimmy Baron and Kataja Basket's Rion Brown put on incredible shooting performances last week.

Baron drilled 10 3-pointers and Brown buried nine in their teams' respective victories. Of all the terrific long-range specialists in the competition, which one is the best? We give you four candidates.

Jimmy Baron, Neptunas Klaipeda

Lithuanian fans know a good shooter when they see one and they did on Gameday 8 when Baron lit up Muratbey Usak Sportif. Baron came off the bench and had the sort of game that all players dream of having, making one 3-pointer after another and finishing with 10. Baron had a new competition record 42 points but it was his hot hand from the arc (several of the shots were well beyond the arc) that still has people buzzing in the Baltics.

Rion Brown, Kataja Basket

It's almost unthinkable that a player would not finish with the most 3-balls in a round of Basketball Champions League action but 'Downtown' Rio Brown chose the wrong week to show off his awesome talent because Baron had 10 3-pointers for Neptunas. Brown was better than Baron in one respect, however. He made 9 of 10 attempts in his fourth game in the competition while Baron was 10 of 15. Heck, this stuff doesn't matter to the shooter. All they care about is the win and both Brown and Baron got Ws on Gameday 8.

Nikola Dragovic, ASVEL

Serbian Dragovic is lethal from long range

What is noticeably different about Dragovic to Baron and Brown is that he's a big guy. The Serbian is a 2.05m power forward who has made 15 of his 28 (53.6 percent) attempts on the season, including a couple of games when he made 4 of 5. One of those, interestingly, came on Gameday 3 against Neptunas when Baron himself was 4 of 7 from long range. Neptunas won that game, 81-67.

Gediminus Orelik, Banvit

Think twice before you shake the hand of this Lithuania because his hand is hot - red hot! Orelik has made 24 of 49 (49 percent) of his 3-pointers this season. The 2.00m small forward Orelik has on four occasions made at least four 3-pointers in a game for his Turkish club, including a 79-65 triumph over AS Monaco on Gameday 5 when he was 4 of 6.
