How to qualify

All European National Federations were invited to register a team for the Qualifiers of the 3x3 Europe Cup 2022.

Seven men's teams and 5 women's teams will not have to go through the qualifiers as they have already clinched their tickets to Graz by winning the last edition in front of the Eiffel Tower, as hosts and based on ranking.

Men: Austria (Hosts), Serbia (reigning champions), Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Netherlands (Federation Ranking)

Women: Austria (Hosts), Spain (reigning champions), Germany and France (Federation Ranking)

Qualifiers

Every year each European national federation is invited to a register a team. In 2022, a record 40 national federations have registered a total of 76 teams. Looking at the Qualifiers, 7 women's and 5 men's teams will get their ticket to Graz at the Qualifiers.

Limassol Qualifier - June 4-5. 

Following FIBA internal Regulation, this qualifier is reserved to teams of National Federations of the C/D groups. 

Men: Cyprus (Hosts), Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Ireland, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta
Women: Cyprus (Hosts), Andorra, Ireland, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta

 Following FIBA internal Regulation, this qualifier is reserved to teams of National Federations of the C/D groups. 

Men: Cyprus (Hosts), Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Ireland, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta
Women: Cyprus (Hosts), Andorra, Ireland, Kosovo, Luxembourg, Malta 

Both categories will be played with a round-robin with 2 pools followed directly by elimination. The pool winners will advance directly to the semi-finals while the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in the pool will play an additional play-in game to the semi-finals.

The winners of each category will qualify to the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup 2022.

Constanta Qualifier - June 4-5.

Men: Romania (Hosts), Poland,  Hungary, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Estonia, Italy, Turkey, Denmark, Bulgaria, Spain, Montenegro, North Macedonia

Women: 
Romania (Hosts), Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Great Britain, Estonia, Italy, Turkey, Denmark, Bulgaria, Latvia, Belgium

Jerusalem Qualifier -  June 9-10

Men: Israel (Hosts), Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus, Switzerland, Slovenia, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Germany, France, Georgia

Women: Israel (Hosts), Ukraine, Slovakia, Belarus, Switzerland, Slovenia, Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Lithuania, Netherlands, Serbia, Sweden

Both the men's and women's fields in both qualifying locations will be played round-robin style in 4 pools, followed by 1 elimination round starting with the quarter-finals. 

In the men's category, the winners of the semi-finals will qualify to the 3x3 Europe Cup. 

In the women's category, the winners of the semi-finals will qualify to the 3x3 Europe Cup and the two semi-finals losers will play one additional game and the winners of that game will also qualify.
