Team of the Week: Bost, Ray, Allen, Jones and Dragicevic

MIES (Basketball Champions League) - Nothing was missing from the latest action in the Basketball Champions League, certainly not when it comes to eye-popping performances from numerous players.

This was one of the toughest of tasks all season long, to come up with the Team of the Week, because there were so many players in the reckoning. The five we have come up with? You're surely going to agree it's an impressive and deserving quintet.

Dee Bost, Guard

Is there any player that can beat SIG Strasbourg playmaker Bost in a sprint from one end of the floor to the other? We doubt it. The lightning quick point guard has speed in abundance, and when he's on his game as he was at AEK in Athens on Tuesday, look out! The naturalized Bulgarian poured in 23 points, dished out 7 assists, collected 4 rebounds and came up with 4 steals. He finished with a +30 efficiency. Best of all, Bost paid a huge dividend to SIG Strasbourg, who brought him to the club in mid-season. Magnifique!

Kendrick Ray, Guard

Talk about coming through in the clutch, that's Ray! The CEZ Nymburk man was terrific in an 81-77 victory over a desperate Sidigas Avellino, scoring 24 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and providing plenty of energy on both ends of the floor. Ray had 9 points in the final 4:50 of the game, including makes on all four of his free-throws in the last 12 seconds as the Czech team held off the visitors from Italy.

Rosco Allen, Forward

Allen has been a great addition to a team that is going for a second Basketball Champions League title in a row. At 2.06m (6ft 9in), he has the ability to go inside yet often stretches defenses with his shooting prowess from behind the arc. In a convincing triumph over Play-Offs chasing PAOK, Allen finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and a season-best +28 efficiency as the Canary Islanders moved back into first place in Group B. And yes, as Rosco was telling us above in the tweet, he drilled a 3-ball against PAOK.

Jarrod Jones, Forward

UCAM Murcia had a tough time keeping up with Jones

If you think you've heard that name before, you have. Twice on the Team of the Week and also a Gameday MVP earlier in the campaign, Pinar Karsiyaka star Jones is back! In a heavyweight tilt against UCAM Murcia, Jones finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He made some big plays late, too, to help Pinar Karsiyaka win, 79-72.

Vladimir Dragicevic, Center

The Montenegrin big man could do no wrong this week, scoring a season-high 24 points, grabbing 12 rebounds, blocking a shot and getting a steal. His play has kept Polish side Stelmet Enea Zielona Gora firmly in the hunt for the Play-Offs. Their 98-68 victory over Oostende marked a third straight victory and has the club in the top four of Group D.
