    Press Release

For the second year in a row, Antalya, in Türkiye, will host all BCL Qualification Round tournaments, from September 17-22.

MIES (Switzerland) - The city of Antalya, in Türkiye, has been selected to host all four Qualification Round tournaments of the Basketball Champions League in September, a year after it provided the stage for last season's enormously successful Qualifiers. The BCL will count on the invaluable support of the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) in organizing this season's Qualification Round, just like it was the case in September 2023, when Antalya hosted the three tournaments that preceded Season 8. The 2024-25 BCL Qualification Round tournaments will tip off on September 17 and conclude on Sunday, September 22, when the winners of the four tournaments will each earn a ticket to the BCL Regular Season. "Don't change a winning team, the saying goes, and the combination of the TBF as our partner and Antalya as the host city proved to be the formula to success last year," BCL CEO Patrick Comninos commented. "Antalya took on the challenge of becoming the first ever single host city of all BCL Qualification Round tournaments and not only delivered a successful event but, as the feedback from our clubs and the entire European basketball community confirmed, set a new benchmark for this important phase of our competition," Mr. Comninos added. "As the Turkish Basketball Federation, we are very happy to organize the Basketball Champions League Qualification Round tournaments for the second year in a row in Antalya, which is one of the highest participated club organizations in Europe," said TBF Secretary General Serhan Antalyali. "This organization is very valuable for the TBF as it will support the principles of the development and reaching more people with basketball, which has a very important place among our corporate values that we share with the Basketball Champions League. We look forward to welcoming all participating clubs in Türkiye," Mr. Antalyali concluded.
