Bonn players and staff celebrating with the coveted boarding pass

Telekom Baskets Bonn won Basketball Champions League 2024-25 Qualifiers Tournament 4 by defeating Banco di Sardegna Sassari to clinch the last remaining boarding pass to the Regular Season.

ANTALYA (Turkiye) - The memories of Malaga 2023 are still fresh, and Telekom Baskets Bonn will get to chase that feeling again in the upcoming season. The winners of the BCL two seasons ago have made it back to the Regular Season by winning Tournament 4 in Antalya.

Their strong third quarter was enough to see off Banco di Sardegna Sassari in the Final, setting the final score at 78-71, and avoiding any kind of drama in the fourth quarter.

Coach Roel Moors had great contribution off the bench with Angelo Allegri off to a cheerful 17 points, and Darius McGhee following his 37-point Semi-Final up with an all-round 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists Final.

Three starters were also in double figures for Bonn, led by Phlandrous Fleming Jr's 14 points, with 3 impressive blocks also in his stat line.

The returning members from last season were also influential. Sam Griesel scored 11, Thomas Kennedy went 4-of-4 from the field for 10 points, while Till Pape scored 8 points.

Eimantas Bendzius scored 21 points with five triples for Sassari, but they miss out on BCL action for only the second time ever, the first time since 2018-19.

Telekom Baskets Bonn will now move to Regular Season Group E, next to AEK Betsson BC, VEF Riga and Maccabi Ramat-Gan.
