10 things to look out for in Wednesday's games

MIES (Switzerland) - Round of 16 Week 4 games in the Basketball Champions League continue on Wednesday March 8 with two more games from Groups I and J, plus the Game of the Week from Group J.

Here's what to look out for in Wednesday's action:

Bahcesehir College (0-3) v BAXI Manresa (2-1)

Group J - 18:00 CET - Istanbul, Turkey

  • Bahcesehir are on a three-game losing streak in the BCL, but they played those three games on the road; Bahcesehir have conceded 90+ points in each of their last two games, after allowing that many points only once in their previous 10 games in the competition.
  • Bahcesehir are the team with the most starting lineups in the BCL this season: they've had 11 different starting 5s in 12 games played this season, using the same starters only on Gamedays 1 and 3; Manresa are the second team to have used the most starting 5s, never using the same combination twice in their nine games this season.
  • Manresa have won their last four away games in the BCL, their longest winning streak when playing on the road; however, three of their last four wins away from home ended up with margins of three or fewer points.
  • Manresa have conceded 10+ three-pointers in each of their last four games in the BCL, including against Bahcesehir (10-of-33) – the Spanish side conceded 10+ shots from behind the arc only once in their previous five games this season.
  • Devin Robinson has scored 15+ points in each of his first three games in the BCL; Jerrick Harding is the only player to have previously scored 15+ points in more consecutive games with Manresa in the competition, which was at the beginning of this season (five in a row).

SIG Strasbourg (2-1) v JDA Bourgogne Dijon (2-1)

Group I - 20:00 CET - Strasbourg, France

  • Strasbourg have won their last four home games in the BCL but haven't won more in a row at home since 2017 when they won six consecutive games on their own court; they have scored 80+ points in each of their last six games at home, their longest such streak in league history.
  • Strasbourg have scored the most two-point shots of any team in the BCL this season (23.3); however, Dijon have scored 57 percent of their 80.1 points per game from inside the arc, the highest such ratio amongst all teams in the league in 2022-23.
  • Marcus Keene has scored 20+ points in each of his last three games in the BCL but no player has ever managed to do it in more games in a row with Strasbourg in the competition; Keene became in the last game against Dijon the first Strasbourg player to combine 20+ points, 5+ rebounds and 5+ assists in a BCL game (22 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds).
  • Dijon have won three of their last four BCL games, but that defeat was against Strasbourg (85-72); they have won their most recent road game in the competition (84-77 v Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem) but have been alternating between wins and losses in their last 10 away games.
  • Markis McDuffie has averaged 19.6 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his last five BCL games where he played 20+ minutes after averaging 14.6 points and 4.8 rebounds in his previous five such games.
