Rytas Vilnius now own tiebreak over Besiktas Icrypex after 13-point victory

VILNIUS (Lithuania) - Rytas Vilnius were able to avenge their thrilling double overtime loss to Besiktas Icrypex and get an 82-69 victory the second time around.

Rytas won by at least four points, which means that they now own a potential tiebreaker over Besiktas in Group H of the Basketball Champions League.

Turning point: Rytas led for 38:57 and their biggest lead was 16 points.

Besiktas got as close as five points in the fourth quarter, but Rytas were able to hold the lead and hold them off with a 13-5 run to finish the game.

Game hero: Ivan Buva had his highest scoring game of the BCL season with 27 points along with 4 rebounds.

He shot an efficient 8-of-14 from the field, 2-of-4 from three-point and a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.

Stats don't lie: Rytas had a wide margin in points from turnovers, outscoring Besiktas 23-6.

Rytas also had several more opportunities from the free-throw line and they took advantage of them, shooting 18-of-19 compared to only 6-of-7 for Besiktas.

One of the few stats that Besiktas led in was points in the paint, as they outscored Rytas 48-34.

Bottom line: Rytas' Gytis Radzevicius also recorded his second double-double of the BCL season with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals.

Rytas are now 2-2 and own the tiebreaker over Besiktas.

The Lithuanian club will host EWE Baskets Oldenburg in their next game on Dec. 13.

Besiktas meanwhile are also now 2-2.

The Turkish club will host Hereda San Pablo Burgos next on Dec. 14.
