The list of departures includes former captain Pavel Pumprla, big man Zach Hankins and Jaromír Bohacík, whose rights for the Czech league will remain with Nymburk but the club transferred him to fellow BCL participants SIG Strasbourg as the swingman wanted to try playing abroad at this stage of his career.

In October meanwhile Nymburk also parted ways with one of their summer signings, Slovenian international Luka Rupnik, who only played at the Final 8 in Athens with the Czech champions and then went on to continue his career at fellow BCL club Casademont Zaragoza.

The Czech side replaced Rupnik with another European point guard in Retin Obasohan, the Belgian international who faced Nymburk last season as a Brose Bamberg player. With the German team, Obasohan averaged 7.1 points and 2.6 assists in the easyCredit BBL, with 9.5 points and 3 assists in the BCL.

The latest addition to the 2020-21 Nymburk roster is a familiar face in former Czech international Lukas Palyza, who played for the club from 2011 through 2014. The 31-year-old started the season at Olomoucko Prostejov and was leading the Czech league in scoring with 20.5 points per game on 40 percent three-point shooting.

In the frontcourt, Nymburk signed  Stephen Zimmerman, who spent last season at Telekom Baskets Bonn. The 24-year-old American big man averaged 7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in the German league, while in the BCL he averaged 8 points and 4.4 boards per contest.

Zimmerman was a late addition because he replaced Carlton Bragg, the player whom Nymburk had initially chosen to fill the starting center spot, but as things turned out he didn't get to play for the Czech champions.

Earlier, Nymburk had penned an experienced forward in Omar Prewitt, who has a considerable track record in the BCL, with Aris Thessaloniki and Teksut Bandirma.

The American forward who turns 26 in September spent the 2019-20 season at Bandirma and averaged 12.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2 assists in the Turkish league, while in the BCL he averaged 13 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.

The Czech club have offered Jerrick Harding the first professional contract of his career after the 22-year-old point guard shined in the NCAA during his four years at Weber State. In his senior year, Harding averaged 22.2 points, 2.2 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game.

The Czech champions also brought in 19-year-old power forward Lubos Kovar from domestic rivals Svitavy. Kovar, who previously played for Nymburk's youth team, has served on both the U18 and U20 Czech national teams and is coming off an excellent NBL league season with Svitavy.
