Vytautas Sulskis had his best game with Neptunas, drilling 3 of 5 shots from long range and scoring a team-high 17 points.
All 12 players received a lot of minutes, with the outcome of the contest all but decided by half-time when the hosts had a commanding 66-30 lead.
Neptunas entered the clash with a 6-5 record and just a one-game lead over PAOK, Ventspils and Elan Chalon (all 5-6).
"In a game like this, we're thinking about the next stage so it was a very important point for us," Maksvytis said. "Second thing, it was very important for the team to get the confidence back. We were able to get a rest for our main players."
Mindaugas Kacinas logged 12:36 of court time.
"We executed pretty much everything the coach wanted," the Neptunas power forward said. "We stayed focused and made some shots that we usually make and we got a win."
Arnoldas Kulboka, the highly-rated Lithuanian of Capo d'Orlando, had 18 points and 7 rebounds in defeat. The club from Sicily, missing key players through injury, only arrived in Klaipeda less than three hours before tip-off.
"They played a good game and they deserved to win," Kulboka said. "We lost by 37 points, had a very short rotation and many players are injured and couldn't participate. We had a tough trip but I don't want to complain."
"I think we fought until the end with the players that we had," losing coach Gennaro di Carlo said. "It was a tough game for us. I appreciate a lot the attitude of the team. We fought a lot with the weapons we had tonight.
"I think in the second half the game, our team developed a good basketball, a good rhythm and a good spirit, considering the weapons we had.
"I think Neptunas is a good team with a good quality and a good mentality and some great players so congratulations to them and good luck for the rest of the season."
