MIES, Switzerland (Basketball Champions League) - Let's have a look at some key facts for next week's Game of the Week in each group.


Group A: AS Monaco (FRA) vs Pinar Karsiyaka (TUR)
  • Monaco are the only team to have won all their six first games in the BCL this season.
  • Pinar Karsiyaka have lost only one of their six BCL games this season, it was away from home against Baskets Oldenburg (82-96).
  • This game will see the best attacking team (Pinar Karsiyaka, 551 points) facing the best defensive one (AS Monaco, 381 pts conceded).
  • This two teams have the best FG% in the BCL this season, with Pinar Karsiyaka leading this ranking (56.3%) ahead of AS Monaco (52%).
  • D.J. Cooper has made the most steals per game on average in this BCL campaign (3.0).
  • D.J. Kennedy has made more double-double than any other player in the BCL this season (4). He is also the only one to currently average a double-double (21 PPG and 10 RPG).



Group B: Iberostar Tenerife (ESP) vs Netpunas Klaipeda (LTU)
  • Iberostar Tenerife have won all their last five BCL games, only AS Monaco (7) are on a better run. They also have won 11 of their 13 home games in BCL history, including the Semi-finals and the Final of the 2016-17 season.
  • Neptunas Klaipeda have won five of their six games in the BCL this season. Their only defeat in that span happened at the hands of MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (95-83).
  • No team has taken more defensive rebounds per game than Iberostar Tenerife this season in the BCL (29.3).
  • Neptunas Klaipeda have dished 21 assists per game, highest average in the BCL this season.
  • Mike Tobey has made 65.2% of his field goal attempts. Among players shooting at least 9 times per match, only Tashawn Thomas (Hapoel Holon) and Vladimir Dragicevic (Stelmet Zielona Gora) have a best FG%.
  • Arnas Butkevicius recorded a triple-double against PAOK (Gameday 6) with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. He is only the second player in the BCL history to accomplish that and the first in 2017-18.





Group C: medi Bayreuth (GER) vs AEK (GRE)
  • medi Bayreuth have lost their last three games in BCL after winning their first three. The German side has scored less than 80 points in only two of its six games – losing the two but both were away from home.
  • AEK have won 5 of their 11 away games in the Champions League history. AEK have lost their last away game (80-78 vs SIG Strasbourg) but have lost only once consecutive away games in the competition.
  • medi Bayreuth have scored 81.6% of their free-throw attempts (71/87), only EWE Baskets Oldenburg (84.3%) have a best FT%.
  • Only two teams have made more fouls per game than AEK this season in the BCL (23.3).
  • Gabe York have made seven 3-point attempts against Petrol Olimpija (October 25), a season high in a single game.
  • Only D.J. Kennedy (10.0) has grabbed more rebounds per game among the guards in the BCL this season than AEK’s Manny Harris (7.8).

 



Group D: Besiktas Sompo Japan (TUR) vs Nanterre 92 (FRA)
  • Besiktas and Nanterre 92 are leading the Group D, with five wins and one loss each.
  • Beskitas have won their last five games in a row, only AS Monaco (7) are on a better run.
  • Nanterre 92 have made the most 3-pointers in the BCL this season (77) but only two teams have made fewer 2-point shots than the French side (91).
  • Hugo Invernizzi (63.6 – 21/33) has the best 3P% in the BCL this season among the players who have attempted 15+ 3-pointers.
