Week 2 Game of the Week: Telekom Baskets Bonn v Pinar Karsiyaka

BONN (Germany) - The stage is set for the Game of the Week in the Basketball Champions League between Telekom Baskets Bonn (0-1) and Pinar Karsiyaka (1-0) on Wednesday October 12.

Where: Bonn, Germany (Telekom Dome)

When: 20:00 CET

Last week, Bonn lost their first game to UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia, 88-84, while Karsiyaka emerged victorious over AEK, 91-88.

- Bonn have lost their last four BCL games, their longest streak of defeats in the competition; three of their last five BCL games have seen the team trailing at half-time managing to win the game.

- Bonn scored 17 points in fast break situations in their last game, tied for the most in the BCL's Gameday 1 this season; they were also one of the four teams to score 40+ points in the paint during that opening round (40pts).

- TJ Shorts II combined for 26 points and 8 assists against UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia on Gameday 1 this season, becoming only the second Bonn player combining for 25+ players and 5+ assists in a BCL game (Joshua Mayo - 26pts, 6ast in November 2018 v Reyer Venezia).

- Karsiyaka have won seven of their last nine away games in the BCL regular season, despite trailing at halftime in four of those seven wins; they have never won an away game in Germany in the competition, however (3 defeats).

- Karsiyaka's Erik McCollum scored 29 points in his BCL debut; however, only two players have scored more than 25 points in their first two games in league history (Keith Langford and Malcolm Hill).
