Quarter-Finals field set as Round of 16 concludes

MIES (Switzerland) - The eight clubs that advance to the Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals as well as the seeds for Friday's draw that will determine the path to the Final 4 for each of them were confirmed on Wednesday night, upon the conclusion of the Round of 16 phase.

The group winners of the Round of 16 are, in alphabetical order, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (ISR); Lenovo Tenerife (ESP); Telekom Baskets Bonn (GER) and Unicaja (ESP).

The teams that finished second in their respective Round of 16 groups are, in alphabetical order, AEK (GRE); BAXI Manresa (ESP); SIG Strasbourg (FRA) and UCAM Murcia (ESP).

The draw to determine the Quarter-Final pairings will take place at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball at 10:30 CET on Friday, March 24. The draw ceremony will be streamed live on the official Basketball Champions League website and YouTube channel.

The four group winners will be seeded in the draw, having earned homecourt advantage in their respective Quarter-Final series. The Quarter-Finals will get underway on April 4 and the seeded teams will play at home the first game as well as the potential third game of their best-of-three series.

The only restriction that will apply to the Draw is that clubs which were in the same Round of 16 group cannot be drawn against each other in the Quarter-Finals. There is no country protection, meaning that it is possible two clubs from the same country could be drawn to face each other.

The second games of all Quarter-Final series will take place on either April 11 or April 12, while any series that is tied after the first two games and needs to go to a Game 3 will conclude on either April 18 or April 19. The detailed Quarter-Finals game schedule will be communicated after the Draw.

The four teams that emerge victorious from the Quarter-Finals will qualify for the Final 4. The Semi-Finals Draw will take place in the host city of the 2023 Final Four in late April.
