Tofas Bursa defeat SIG Strasbourg again, move to first place in Group F

BURSA (Turkey) - Tofas Bursa completed the group play sweep over SIG Strasbourg with an 85-75 wire-to-wire victory, their biggest winning margin so far this season in the Basketball Champions League.

This is only the third time in Strasbourg's 81 all-time BCL games that they were never ahead in a game.

In their three wins this season, Bursa have only trailed for a total of 1:48.

Both Bursa and Strasbourg came into the game tied at 2-1.

Turning point: After trailing the whole game, Strasbourg used a big third quarter and outscored Bursa 27-17 to only trail 62-63 heading into the fourth.

Just when it looked like Strasbourg would make a move after getting back into the game after cutting their deficit, their comeback fell short and they never could get the lead at any point in the game.

Game hero: Bursa had four players score in double figures, but Jeremy Simmons finished with 15 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals, while shooting a perfect 7-of-7 from the field.

He had a team-high efficiency rating of 19.

Stats don't lie: Bursa took advantage of the 15 turnovers they forced and converted them into 29 points.

Bursa's bench was also more productive, outscoring Strasbourg's bench 27-14.

Despite Bursa taking four fewer total shots than Strasbourg, Bursa made four more  shots from the field (31-57 compared to 27-61).

Bottom line: Bursa are now 3-1 and in first place in Group F.

The Turkish club will travel to face Filou Oostende next on Dec. 8.

Strasbourg are now 2-2 and currently sit in second place in the group.

The French club will travel to face Kalev/Cramo next on Dec. 7.
