Home sweet home: Hapoel U-NET Holon keep unbeaten record alive

HOLON (Israel) - Back on their home court for the first time since last season's Basketball Champions League playoffs, Hapoel U-NET Holon defeated fellow unbeaten team U-BT Cluj Napoca 78-68

Holon have now won their last five games in the BCL regular season and this is the first time that they have won their first two games of a BCL season.

Turning point: The game featured several lead changes through the first three quarters, but there were none in the fourth quarter.

Holon was up 58-55 after three quarters and they were able to extend their lead and go on a 7-0 run to start the fourth with Cluj Napoca not scoring their first points of the final quarter until there was about four minutes left.

Game hero: Michale Kyser almost double-doubled with 15 points and 9 rebounds, along with 3 assists and 3 blocks on 6-of-10 shooting from the field.

He also threw down back-to-back alley-oops to close the game out:

Stats don't lie: Cluj Napoca struggled shooting, going 32.8% from the field and 25.9% from three-point.

Cluj Napoca only scored 26 points from two-point.

Coming into this game, Cluj had scored 63% of their total amount of points from two-point shots, so tonight's 38.2% was well below that average.

Cluj's 33 free-throw attempts were the most by any team in the BCL this season.

They shot so many free throws because Holon's 28 fouls in the game were the most for any team in a single BCL game this season.

Holon were able to get some easy buckets, as they outscored Cluj 32-20 in points in the paint.

Bottom line: Holon are now 2-0 and currently sit in second place in Group G.

The Israeli club will travel to face Cluj again on Nov. 17.

Cluj are now 2-1 and currently sit in first place in the group over Holon because they have one more participation point for having an extra game played.

The Romanian club will host Holon on Nov. 17.
