Everything you need to know ahead of Wednesday's Gameday 6 fixtures

MIES (Switzerland) - Several teams are looking for a win on an action-packed Wednesday that will lift them into the top half of their respective group table at the first inflection point of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, with action pausing for two weeks and resuming on December 3rd.

Gameday 6 action culminates with the eagerly anticipated clash between Burgos and Hapoel Jerusalem, in Spain. Let’s have a closer look at some very interesting facts and figures on each of the eight Wednesday games:

Gaziantep (1-4) v Nizhny Novgorod (3-2) -- Group C, 18:00 CET

Drew Crawford is having his most consistent scoring season in the BCL

  • Gaziantep have won only two of their nine home games in their history in the competition and have lost both games they played at home this season. Nizhny won their last two games on the road but have never won three consecutive games away from home in the competition.

  • Gaziantep have lost all 14 games in which they scored fewer than 75 points and have won all five games in which they scored more than 75 points.

  • Nizhny's defense is leading the league in opponents' field goal percentage if only road games are taken into account. When the Russian team is playing on the road, their opponents convert only 38.1 percent of their attempted field goals.

  • Gaziantep’s Drew Crawford has scored at least 10 points in four games this season, as many times as in his first 13 games in the competition.

  • Nizhny's Ivan Strebkov is averaging 6.3 points and 1.8 assists per game this season, while he averaged 12.6 points and 4.9 assists in 2018-19.

PAOK (1-4) v Casademont Zaragoza (3-2) -- Group D, 18:00 CET

Zaragoza are the only team to have scored between 70 and 75 points in each game this season

  • Zaragoza have signed Dylan Ennis, who had started the season at French side AS Monaco. The 29-year-old point guard had played for Zaragoza during the final six-game stretch of the 2017-18 season. The Spanish side will still have to make do without point guard Rodrigo San Miguel and small forward Reinaldas Seibutis, both out through injury.

  • PAOK have lost their last two home games against Spanish teams, albeit both games were against Iberostar Tenerife. The Greek team lost to Tenerife 79-74 in November 2017 and 85-77 in February 2019.

  • Zaragoza are yet to score fewer than 70 points or more than 75 points in the competition. The Spanish side won the three games in which they gave up fewer than 80 points and lost the two games in which they conceded more than 80 points.

  • Zaragoza were leading the league in rebounds, with 45.8 boards per game and blocks, with 4.8 per game, going into Gameday 6 (so excluding the Tuesday games).

  • Adam Smith is averaging 18 points per game at home including a 27-point performance against Happy Casa Brindisi on Gameday 5.

  • Zaragoza's Nemanja Radovic posted a double-double in two of the last three games, but has not yet registered a double -double on the road.

Neptunas Klaipeda (3-2) v Besiktas Sompo Sigorta (2-3) -- Group D, 18:00 CET

Shaquielle McKissic is looking to become only the third player to score 20+ games in four BCL games in a row

  • Neptunas and Besiktas will face each other for the third time in the competition, with each side winning their respective home games. In the previous game in Klaipeda, in 2018-19, Neptunas Klaipeda prevailed 78-63.

  • All five Neptunas games so far this season were all decided by a double-digit margin.

  • Besiktas lost their previous two road games, at Telekom Baskets Bonn and at Happy Casa Brindisi, but have never lost three consecutive games on the road in the competition.

  • Neptunas are averaging 18.8 made free-throws per game, a league-best so far this season, as Gytis Masiulis is leading the league in made free-throws with 27. By contrast, Besiktas are the team with the fewest made free-throws, just 8.8 per game.

Brose Bamberg (3-2) v Peristeri winmasters (3-2) -- Group C, 20:00 CET

  • Bamberg have parted ways with Michael Carrera by mutual consent. The Venezuelan forward averaged 3.2 points and 3.6 rebounds for the German side.
  • Bamberg have won six of their last seven home games in the BCL and have won both of their home games against Greek competition - the German side defeated AEK 77-73 in the 2018-19 Regular Season and 71-67 in the Quarter-Finals.

  • Strasbourg gave up 86 points in their last home game but have never given up more than 80 points in consecutive home games in the competition. Lietkabelis have scored more than 80 points in only two of their 10 road games in the BCL.

  • Gabe York is the only Strasbourg player to have scored more than 20 points in a BCL game this season and he did it twice.
