All Play-Offs permutations as curtain falls on Regular Season

MIES (Switzerland) - Only two tickets to the Play-Offs are still up for grabs on Gameday 14, the final week of action in the Regular Season of the 2019-20 Basketball Champions League.

One of those tickets is waiting for its rightful owner in Group A, while the other will end up in the hands of a Group B team. Meanwhile the teams that have already secured a postseason berth are jostling for position in the final group standings.

We break down the options of each team in Group A and in Group B:

GROUP A

Gameday 14 fixtures: BAXI Manresa vs. Dinamo Sassari; SIG Strasbourg vs. Turk Telekom; Polski Cukier Torun vs. Filou Oostende; UNET Holon vs. Lietkabelis


Holon and Lietkabelis face off on Wednesday with one eye on Manresa's game with Sassari

- Teams vying for the last ticket to the Play-Offs: BAXI Manresa, Lietkabelis and UNET Holon

  • Baxi Manresa (7-6) will advance to the Play-Offs, and will do so as third from the group, if they beat Sassari.
    If Manresa lose to Sassari AND Oostende lose at Torun AND Lietkabelis beat Holon, then the Spanish team will finish in fourth place.
    If Manresa lose to Sassari and Oostende win at Torun, then the Spanish team will finish in fifth and miss out on the Play-Offs.

  • Unet Holon (6-7) will advance to the Play-Offs if they beat Lietkabelis and Manresa lose to Sassari.
    If Holon win against Lietkabelis and Manresa also win, the Israeli team will finish in fifth place and miss out on the Play-Offs.

  • Lietkabelis (6-7) will advance to the Play-Offs if they beat Holon AND Manresa lose to Sassari AND Oostende win at Torun.
    If the Lithuanian team win against Holon and Manresa also win, Lietkabelis will finish in fifth place and miss out on the Play-Offs.

- Teams that have qualified to the Play-Offs: Turk Telekom, Dinamo Sassari and Filou Oostende

  • Turk Telekom (10-3) have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs. The Turkish team will finish in first place if they win against Strasbourg OR if Sassari lose at Manresa.

  • Dinamo Sassari (10-3) have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs. The Italian side will finish in first place if they win against at Manresa and Turk Telekom lose at Strasbourg. Otherwise they will finish in second place.

  • Filou Oostende (7-6)  have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs. The Belgian side will finish in third place if they win at Torun and Manresa lose to Sassari. Unless both of those results materialize, Oostende will finish in fourth place.


GROUP B

Gameday 14 fixtures: Telenet Giants Antwerp vs. Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem; San Pablo Burgos vs. RASTA Vechta; AEK vs. Anwil Wloclawek; Teksüt Bandirma vs. EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez


The last play-off ticket from Group B will go either to San Pablo Burgos or RASTA Vechta

- Teams vying for the last ticket to the Play-Offs: San Pablo Burgos and RASTA Vechta.

  • San Pablo Burgos (7-6) will advance to the Play-Offs if they beat Vechta or if they lose by up to six points.

  • RASTA Vechta (6-7) will advance to the Play-Offs if they defeat Burgos by seven or more points and Bandirma win against Pau-Orthez.

- Teams that have qualified to the Play-Offs: Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, AEK and Teksüt Bandirma.

  • Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (10-3) have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs and will finish in first place, regardless of results on Gameday 14.

  • AEK (8-5) have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs and will finish in second place if they win against Anwil, or if Burgos lose to Vechta.

  • Teksüt Bandirma (7-6) have already booked their ticket to the Play-Offs. The Turkish team will finish in third place if they win and Burgos lose to Vechta. Bandirma will finish in fourth place, regardless of their own result, if the Spanish team wins.
