Quarter-Finals pairings set in Basketball Champions League


MIES (Switzerland) - The Quarter-Finals are now set with eight sides having punched their ticket to the second phase of the Play-Offs this week.

Eight (8) teams from eight (8) different countries will play the last phase preceding the Final Four, with two teams coming from the first round of Qualifications (Nizhny Novgorod and Telenet Giants Antwerp).

This Quarter-Finals' phase will be played over two rounds (Mar 26/27 and Apr 2/3) on head-to-head format.

The Quarter-Final match-ups will be the following (teams indicated second will play the return leg at home):

Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (ISR) v Iberostar Tenerife (ESP)
Nizhny Novgorod (RUS) v Telenet Giants Antwerp (BEL)
Nanterre 92 (FRA) v Segafredo Virtus Bologna (ITA)
Brose Bamberg (GER) v AEK (GRE)


Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem (ISR) beat Neptunas Klaipeda (LTU) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 86-74 and the second leg 84-64 (170-138 in aggregate, +32 for Hapoel Jerusalem).

Iberostar Tenerife 
(ESP) beat Promitheas Patras (GRE) in the Round of 16, losing the first leg 57-69 and winning the second leg 79-57 (136-126 in aggregate, +10 for Tenerife).

Nizhny Novgorod (RUS) beat Umana Reyer Venezia (ITA) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 95-72 and losing the second leg 66-84 (161-156 in aggregate, +5 for Nizhny Novgorod).

Telenet Giants Antwerp (BEL) beat UCAM Murcia (ESP) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 75-67, and losing the second leg 77-78 (152-145 in aggregate, +7 for Antwerp).

Nanterre 92 (FRA) beat Besiktas Sompo Japan (TUR) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 68-59 and winning the second leg 62-60 (130-119 in aggregate, +11 for Nanterre 92).

Segafredo Virtus Bologna (ITA) beat Le Mans (FRA) in the Round of 16, tying the first leg 74-74, and winning the second leg 81-58 (155-132 in aggregate, +23 for Virtus Bologna).

Brose Bamberg (GER) beat Banvit (TUR) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 81-79 and the second leg 88-85 (169-164 in aggregate, +5 for Brose Bamberg).

AEK (GRE) beat PAOK (GRE) in the Round of 16, winning the first leg 84-75 and losing the second leg 62-63 (146-138 in aggregate, +8 for AEK).

The four teams to advance from the Quarter-Finals will meet in the Final Four on May 3-5.

The location will be announced after completion of the Quarter-Finals, at the end of the first week of April. An additional draw will determine the Semi-Finals and will take place in the Final Four host city the following week.
