A club that reached the Final Four last season, MHP Riesen are digging themselves an early hole as they attempt to finish in the top four and return to the Play-Offs.
Le Mans, beaten at UCAM Murcia (74-62) and then at Banvit (96-67) in their opening two games, made the most of their first home game with Cameron Clark pouring in a game-high 15 points and Michael Thompson leading all players with 5 steals.
Turnovers were a real problem for the German club. They had 18 for the game and Le Mans capitalized, scoring 16 points off of them.
It wasn't always pretty for Le Mans, who shot 38.1 percent (24 of 63) from the floor and 6 of 24 (25 percent) from behind the arc, yet what will have made coach Eric Bartecheky happy was the effort.
Wilfried Yeguete was a picture of intensity from start to finish, swatting 3 shots in less than 17 minutes of action. Petr Cornelie also came off the bench and excelled, not only scoring 9 points but blocking a shot and coming up with a steal.
