Anwil vs Nizhny Novgorod

Nizhny Novgorod rode a great first half to pull out a 93-82 win on the road in Poland against Anwil.

Bouncing back from loss last week's double overtime loss, Nizhny put on an offensive clinic in the first quarter and were leading by 18 on cruise control in the second before the home side fought back, cutting the deficit in half within a couple of minutes.

Anwil's fight back continued, but they were never able to quite get over the hump - the closest they would get the rest of the way is two points in the third.

Valerii Likhodei was unstoppable, going 9-for-11 on his way to a game-high 28 points for Anwil.

The visitors comfortably won the battle on the glass to help them improve to 1-1.

Notable Number: 25 - the number of assists Nizhny Novgorod registered, as they put on a clinic in sharing the ball.

Promitheas Patras vs Petrol Olimpija

Olimpija had three chances to win it in the final minute, culminating in a Miha Lapornik missed three at the buzzer, as Promitheus improved to 2-0.

Oleksandr Lypovyy led the Promitheus charge with 17 points, Tony Meier finished with 15, and Leonidas Kaselakis had 13

Olimpija had 17 points-a-piece from Lapornik and Scottie Reynolds, the latter adding 8 assists. Lapornik finished 5-of-6 from three point range, his only miss being the potential winner at the buzzer.

Avellino were in control from start to finish, taking a lead at the end of the first and never looking back. Lorenzo D'Ercole knocked down a deep 3 to make it a 20 point deficit, 69-49, with less than 2 minutes to play in the third and it was plain sailing the rest of the way.

Keifer Sykes had 12 of his 26 points in the fourth quarter,  finishing 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and 9-for-12 overall, Matt Costello went 8-for-9 for his 21-point, 10-rebound double-double and Norris Cole added 7 assists.

Kelan Martin had 17 points to lead Ludwigsburg.

Notable Number: 59.02 - the percentage Avellino shot from the floor, as they went 36-for-61 overall.

Fribourg Olympic vs Opava

Fribourg Olympic picked up their first win in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season with a 97-79 take down of Opava.

Babaca Toure continued his dominance with 23 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 blocks to have another standout performance for Fribourg, as they pulled away in the third - culminating in a running buzzer beater from Dusan Mladjan - and were leading by 18 early in the fourth.

Brose Bamberg vs JDA Dijon

Brose Bamberg overturned a double-digit deficit to secure their first win of the Basketball Champions League season, 73-64 over JDA Dijon.

After an incredibly slow start that saw the home team score just four points in the opening period,  Bamberg clawed it back, with Tyrese Rice carrying them down the stretch as he scored 12 of his 20 points in the final five minutes of the contest.

Nikos Zisis had 14 points and 5 assists off the bench, and Elias Harris joined them in double digits with 13 points.

Dijon were led by 21 from Gavin Ware as both teams now own 1-1 records.

Nanterre 92 vs Iberostar Tenerife

Tenerife clamped down in the first and fourth for a 75-58 win over Nanterre 92 to improve to 2-0 in the competition.

They never trailed, and led by as many as 24 but Nanterre showed their resilience, fighting back from down 20 at halftime to get it to 9 on multiple occasions in the second half. An 8-0 run for the visitors out of a Tenerife timeout with 3 minutes remaining - after the French side had pulled to within 9 - was enough to put out the flame of any lasting hope.

Haukur Palsson's 21 points led Nanterre.
