Can Dijon return to winning mode at home vs Brose Bamberg? 35 facts to know ahead of Wednesday's games


MIES (Switzerland) - The end of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season is close, since this is week 9 already! Let's have a look at some key facts before Wednesday's games.

Ventspils (LAT) v UCAM Murcia (ESP)

  • Ventspils have alternated between defeat and victory in their last seven BCL games, losing the last one. They have lost seven of their last nine home games, after having won eight of their first 10.
  • UCAM Murcia have only lost two of their last 13 games in BCL. Only AEK (14) have won more games than the Spanish team (13) in the BCL in 2018.
  • Ventspils have conceded more 2-pointers than any other team this season (199) while only one team has conceded less points this season than UCAM Murcia (549).
  • Ventspils' Ousmane Drame has grabbed on average 6.3 rebounds per game, more than any other player with less than 20 minutes played on average per game (17mpg).
  • UCAM Murcia's Brad Oleson has scored 39 points in his first six BCL games this season. He scored 90 points in his first six BCL games of the 2017/18 season.

  • Fribourg Olympic (27.4%) and Opava (29.6%) are two of the three teams this season to have scored less than 30% of their 3-pointers attempted.
  • Opava's Martin Gniadek has made 22 turnovers so far this season in BCL, more than any other center.
  • Fribourg Olympic's Babacar Toure grabbed 16 rebounds against Opava on Gameday 2, the joint-most for a player in a game this season. He has made four double-doubles this season, more than any other player.


     

AEK (GRE) v CEZ Nymburk (CZE)

  • AEK have won two of their three matchups against CEZ Nymburk in BCL history, including the reverse fixture in Gameday 2 (93-94); however, AEK have lost the only game they have played against CEZ Nymburk at home.
  • AEK have conceded an average of 66 points per game in their last four BCL encounters after allowing their opponents to score an average of 84.5 points per game in their first four games in the league this season.
  • CEZ Nymburk have allowed their opponents to grab an average of 41.4 rebounds per game, the most among all teams in BCL this season.
