Round of 16 - Key facts of Second Leg


MIES, Switzerland (Basketball Champions League) - The Basketball Champions League Play-Offs have now started. Let's have a look a some key facts after the second leg games of the Round of 16!

  • Only Banvit and AS Monaco have won both their games in Round of 16. AEK and UCAM Murcia are the only teams to advance to the Quarter-Finals after being defeated at home in the first leg of the Round of 16.

  • The reigning champions have been defeated (Iberostar Tenerife), but four other teams will repeat the presence in the Quarter-finals: AS Monaco, Banvit, MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and Pinar Karsiyaka.

  • AS Monaco beat Stelmet Enea Zielona Gora (90-60) for the largest win ever in a BCL Play-Offs game (30 points).

  • EWE Baskets Oldenburg have scored 15 3PT shots in this second round, the most any team have ever scored from behind the arc in a single BCL Play-Offs game.

  • AEK have made 14 of their 15 free-throw attempts against CEZ Nymburk in the second leg (93%). No other team have scored 90% or more of their FT in a single game this season.

  • SIG Strasbourg and UCAM Murcia are the only teams to have tallied 10+ steals and 5+ blocks in the Round of 16. It's the second time this season that SIG Strasbourg have done it, while no other team have done it in two different games.

  • Manny Harris has scored 36 points against CEZ Nymburk, the most any player has ever scored in a BCL Play-Offs game. He has also been the only player to score 20+ points in both Round of 16 games (25 and 36 points).

  • Gabe York has made 10 shots from behind the arc in both games of Round of 16, more than all Pinar Karsiyaka’s players combined (9).

  • Dee Bost has made 17 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and three steals against Neptunas Klaipeda. This season only three other players have finished a single game with 15+ points, 10+ assists, 5+ rebounds and 3+ steals.

  • Cody Lalane has blocked four shots against medi Bayreuth, the most any player has tallied in this Round of 16. The Haitian power forward has blocked more shots than 12 of the 15 teams (except his own Besiktas Sompo Japan team) in this second leg of the Round of 16.
