Banvit turn it on in second half to rout Umana Reyer Venezia
BANDIRMA (Basketball Champions League) - Banvit dominated the second half to cruise to a 90-62 win over Umana Reyer Venezia on Wednesday evening.
With the score tied at halftime, Banvit dominated the third period, outscoring Venezia 28-10 to take an 18-point lead into the final quarter and cruise to the win.

Amongst the impressive numbers, Banvit poured in 54 points in the second half, shot over 62% from the field and dominated the glass 40-23.
Angelo Caloairo had 22 points to lead five players in double figures for Banvit, Adonis Thomas had 17, Gasper Vidmar went 5-of-5 for his 16 points and Andy Rautins had 12 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists to just miss out on a triple double.
Paul Biligha went 7-of-8 for 15 points to lead Venezia, with Gediminas Orelik and Stefano Tonut adding 10-a-piece.
Both teams are now 5-3, with Banvit in second place in the Group C table and Venezia in third.
It was 7-0 start for the home side, culminating in a pretty no-look pass from Rautins to Caloiaro on a lay up, forcing a timeout from Venezia.
The visitors slowly fought back, despite being plagued by fouls early, using 13-4 run to finish the opening quarter to lead 17-15 after one.
Dominique Johnson banked in the buzzer beater at halftime to tie the game at 36 after a number of lead changes throughout the second period.
In the third, it was all one-way traffic. Banvit dominated, leading by 18 heading into the last quarter, then using a 13-5 start to the fourth period to take things from bad to worse for Venezia, who suffered their worst defeat of the season.
