Youthful Mega Leks showing maturity even under pressure

SREMSKA MITROVICA (Basketball Champions League) - Mega Leks overcame a 15-point first half deficit and defeated their Group D rivals Cibona 81-79 on a late bucket by Ognjen Jaramaz. Mega are now hoping this was just the beginning of their positive run.

"We had a couple of bad results, and the team was under a lot of pressure to win the game. The first quarter was not going well because of that pressure. But in the second, third and fourth period, we held Cibona to 14, 17 and 19 points in the quarter", said Dejan Milojevic, Mega Leks' coach.

"Hopefully, we will gain some confidence from this win."

Jaramaz led the way to a first BCL win for Mega with 22 points, including the go-ahead basket with 20 seconds left in the game. Kostja Mushidi had 17 points, and Alpha Kaba provided a couple of highlight plays for Mega in the last quarter.

Mega are now at 1-1 in Group D following their two home games to begin the campaign. Their first away game will not be a long trip. They are headed to Montenegro, where they will face Mornar Bar in a week's time.
