Rosa Radom love overtimes

Rosa Radom rallied late in the game to get the better of visiting Muratbey Usak by a score of 83-77 after overtime.

The home side trailed by 10 entering the last three minutes but played hard on the defensive end and a lucky tip enabled them to even the score at 72 with five seconds remaining. Darryl Monroe went to the free-throw line for Usak but missed both attempts and the game went to overtime. Radom were more energetic in the extra period, outscoring their opponents 11-5 to secure the win.

This was their second overtime win in three home games.

There was a drought at score in the first quarter (15-8). Usak continued playing without rythm and home team adjusted the lead to 21-11 in the first 3 minutes. Then Usak found 5-0 partial score in a short term and decreased the deficit to 5 points. Both teams didn't make threes till mid of 2nd quarter, Radom was 1/10 and Usak was 2/10 behind the arc. Usak's young forward Berkay Candan scored 2 threes in a row in the last 3 minutes of this quarter and he gave extra life to his team, away team decreased Radom's lead to 4 points (25-21). Usak found the rythm and updated the score to 25-24 and the deficit was only 1 points. However Radom again gained the control of the game and took the lead with 32-27 at the end of first half.

Away team established a good start at 3rd quarter, with a partial score of 4-0 decreased the deficit to 1 point again (32-31). But Radom replied with a same streak and put the score to 36-31. Radom used this acceleration well enougn and they adjusted the score to 50-40. Usak didn't give up and created 10-0 partial score and evened the score to 50-50. Radom woke up and started the final quarter with an advantage of 54-52.

Usak did well at defense in the final quarter and took the lead with 68-58 remaining 3.5 minutes to the end (68-58). But home team didn't stop fighting especially at defense, they pushed back Usak from painted area. While we were entering the final 40 seconds Radom brought down Usak's lead to 2 points. At last 5 seconds Jackson found a lucky tip basket and they evened the score 72-72. After the timeout Usak pushed the ball to Radom's area and met the basket with Monroe at the paint. Radom stopped him via foul but the experienced big man missed both free throws at the remainin 0.9 seconds, we went to overtime.

Home team was more energetic and concentrated at the extra time, they entered into the last 1.5 minutes with the score of 80-77. Usak made a lot of mistakes at the final seconds and Radom won the game by 6 points (83-77). Michal Sokolowski was the MVP of the game with the stats of 21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 26 efficiency. On the other hand Mark Lyons was the leader of Turkish team with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 22 efficiency.
