IZMIR (Basketball Champions League) - Pinar Karsiyaka dominated the second leg of their Play-Off qualifier for a 72-52 win over Fraport Skyliners on Tuesday evening.

The home side overcame the 10 point deficit from the first leg quickly in first quarter opening the game on a 15-2 run. The game was over from the outset as Karsiyaka put in an impressive performance that saw them unchallenged the rest of the way.

With the win they set up an all-Turkish match up with Besiktas in the Round of 16.

Mike Green had a team-high 18 points for Karsiyaka, but J'Covan Brown controlled the game the game from the point guard spot to finish with 17 points and 9 assists. Josh Owens had 13 points on 6 of 7 shooting including a couple of impressive dunks.

"We managed to put together all these three things we always talk about which are concentration, toughness and effort," Karsiyaka Head Coach Nenad Markovic commented after the game.

"(It) Was all three things on the court together, especially in the first 20 minutes, and we know when we play like this we can beat any team in this league and this competition."

And looking ahead to the next round match-up with Besiktas, he added:

"We are now in top 16, but I believe we can do more than this, and we should be prepared against Besiktas team who are probably one of the favourites in this competition. I hope it will be good games and tough match up."

Michael Morrison was unable to put in the same dominant inside performance he had the first time these two teams met (35 points), finishing with 12 points and 8 rebounds to lead Fraport. Kwame Vaughn was the only other player to join him in double figures with 10 points.

"Their intensity and their defence was outstanding in the first half, and their crowd really got behind them," Fraport Head Coach Gordon Herbert commented.

"They were very very good and we weren't able to handle the pressure."

"I was just disappointed with the way we played the first 20 minutes."
