Marvelous McFadden is MVP of Play-Off Qualifiers

BELGRADE (Basketball Champions League) - Thaddus McFadden arrived at PAOK with just four games remaining in the Regular Season and the Greek club looking for a spark.

The 29-year-old guard, who helped the team finish strong and clinch fourth in its group to stay alive in the competition, paid a huge dividend on Wednesday night when he led the Thessaloniki outfit to an 82-78 triumph in the second leg of its Play-Off Qualifier tie in Belgrade.

That performance, following McFadden's scintillating 20-point effort in the opening leg that Partizan won, 76-74, has led to the 1.88m guard being named MVP of the Play-Off Qualifiers.

McFadden hit 7 of his first 9 3-pointers against Partizan in the second leg and finished 7 of 10. He was a combined 10 of 17 from long range in the tie. When McFadden wasn't pouring in the points, he was setting up teammates or being disruptive on defense.

He walked off the court in Belgrade with 7 assists and 3 steals. McFadden had 6 steals in the two games. After an efficiency rating of +17 in the first game, PAOK's game-winner had a +31 in Serbia.
